(unofficial) After Party at Berry Park ๐บ
12:00 AM to 2:00 AM
The wedding venue closes at midnight.... but we plan to keep the party going! We have a few tables reserved at a bar about a mile away called Berry Park.
The bar is a rooftop and the tables are meant as more of a homebase, and will be a B(uy)-Y-O-B situation where you order drinks at the bar.
Since it's hard to tell how many we'll have for the after party, we aren't going to be able to provide transportation but recommend everyone Uber if you're able to make it! (it should be ~$5 uber)
Post-Wedding (boozy) Brunch ๐ฅฏ๐ฅ
12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
For those of you who are staying the weekend (or local NY-ers), we are hosting a casual afternoon brunch and drinks at a restaurant in Williamsburg, Ten Hope, from 12-3 PM. The brunch will be open bar & lunch style menu items ๐ Check it out here -
Afterwards - we have quite a few UGA Dawgs in attendance, and kickoff for the first game of the season is at 3:30! I'd expect we'll have a big crew heading to watch the game somewhere!
Casual
Travel โ๏ธ
Getting Into the Big Apple ๐
We recommend flying into LGA - it's closest to the venue and the easiest airport in our opinion. JFK and EWR are also close if either work better for you!
๐๐ฅฏ๐Our Favorite Restaurants
Classic NY Pizza: Roberta's Domino Park ๐; super casual walk up counter at Joe's
Brooklyn Bound
There are lots of ways to get into Manhattan & Brooklyn from the NYC airports. We'd recommend ordering an Uber or Lyft once you get outside of the airport, but of course there's the classic yellow cabs right when you step outside! ๐
Fall in NYC is our personal favorite, but also a lot of other people's favorite time in the city
We'd recommend booking any hotels or accommodations ASAP since this is Labor Day Weekend, and the US Open ๐พ falls on this weekend (you could go while you're here!)
The Box House Hotel, Box Street, Brooklyn, NY, USA
This is where we are hosting our wedding ceremony and reception -- on the rooftop of the Box House Hotel in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We do have a room block available at a 15% discount if you'd like to stay on site. Our personal recommendation: if you're staying the weekend in the city, we'd suggest staying at any of the other below hotel options in Williamsburg, which is a quick 10 mins down the street. Williamsburg is a much more walkable area for weekend activities and will be a quick cab or Uber ๐ over to Greenpoint for wedding day.
If you do want to stay at the Box House, follow these instructions to get the discount applied:
๐A Fancy Option
The William Vale is the tallest high-rise in Williamsburg. This would be our "ballin out" pick if you're looking for a classy, high-end weekend in New York -- the rooms here are spacious (unlike a lot of other New York hotel rooms) with balconies facing the water & the skyline. The rooftop also has THE most amazing views at the Westlight restaurant. Oh, and if it's still summer weather (which it likely will be) the rooftop pool is *chefs kiss*
Rates at The WV change constantly based on availability & promotions they're running - because of this, we have a room block reserved with a locked in rate of $499/night. When booking, use Group Code: 3094739 or follow this link gc.synxis.com/rez.aspx
Even if you don't stay here, make a reservation at The Westlight for cocktails so you can enjoy the views here. ๐
๐ Central Williamsburg Options: The Wythe Hotel, The Williamsburg Hotel, The Hoxton
The Williamsburg Hotel, The Wythe Hotel and The Hoxton are all right across the block from each other. We even considered each of these hotels for our wedding - they're great options in super walkable locations in our favorite part of Williamsburg.
๐ฝ Manhattan Hotels or Airbnb
There are hundreds of hotels in Manhattan if you're looking for a weekend in the city. Williamsburg is literally one stop away on the subway (or a 10 min cab with traffic over the bridge), so it would be easy to come over to The Box House Hotel for wedding day if you choose to stay in the city.
Otherwise -- there's also tons of Airbnbs or other rentals in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Stay wherever you feel comfortable!
Our favorite things to do in Williamsburg & the city!
Walk the Brooklyn Bridge - start in Fidi and end in Dumbo so you can get pizza at Juliana's or Grimaldi's.. or check out 1 Hotel BK Bridge
Go see a Broadway show!

Our Love Story โค๏ธ
Scott's version: The first time I met Rachael I was immediately enamored with her beauty, kindness, and ability to light up a room with her smile. Normally writing something like that would make me cringe, but when itโs 100% true the cringing fails to be a side affect :)
Shortly after we met we began spending every moment in each otherโs company, until we decided to move in together and call Williamsburg our home. It didnโt take long for me to realize that Rachael was someone I wanted to do life with - whether thatโs working out together, toting Boogie everywhere possible, or delving into all of the great dining and nightlife that NYC has to offer.
I managed to enjoy New York before I had met Rachael, but sharing it with her made it infinitely better. We canโt think of a better place to celebrate our love than right where it all started.
Rachael's version: I've had what my Dad calls "The New York Bug" since he brought us on a trip to NYC when I was 12 years old, and it was on my bucket list to move to New York someday ever since. After crashing in bestie/bridesmaid Lauren's NYU dorm for way too long, I finally moved to NYC in June 2015 with bestie/bridesmaid Landis. After only a few months of living in East Village, I swiped right on a pic of a handsome man in a Taco Bell Drive thru (he had me at Taco Bell ๐ฎ). It took a few months for us to finally meet in person after messaging for a while -- but when we finally did, it was too good to be true. Scott took me all over the city on the most fun, random and "us" dates. i.e: Olive Garden in Times Square (bc that's just hilarious), met me at Tacombi West Village with a 10 lb bag of gummy bears just because, Scott showed up at a bar I was at with friends with my favorite drink (a Diet Root Beer) & flowers in my favorite color (purple) -- just to drop these things off for me. Whenever we'd meet up in the city after work, Scott would have a favorite treat of mine in hand -- whether that was a cookie from Milk Bar, peanut butter anything, or a bouquet of flowers from a local bodega.
After realizing too good to be true was actually reality in front of me, Scott and I became "official" a few months into dating and we moved in together in Williamsburg the next year. These years were the most fun times of my life -- times spent bar hopping in Brooklyn, Citi Biking around BK, and eating at all the best restaurants in the city. Scott quickly became my partner in all things in life -- we'd commute on the subway together, meetups for lunch or after work drinks, and gym buds going to the gym before work (sometimes). When we adopted our fur baby, Boogie, our weekends out at brunch just meant bringing the little guy everywhere with us.... and then we were a family of 3. ๐ถ
Our love story starting in NYC is why we chose to have our special day here -- all our favorite memories, and how we fell in love was all right here.. mostly in Brooklyn, right down the street from where we're having our ceremony. ๐

Q & A
For our friends and family who have lots of questions... hopefully this helps!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount. ๐
Can I bring a date?
More than likely, yes. Please check your invite for your +1. When in doubt, just ask us!
Are kids welcome?
Let us know if you're wanting to bring a little one! We don't have any kiddos factored into the headcount so just let us know and we can try to make something work.
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to NYC, all you out-of-towners! The weather in the fall can be a little unpredictable -- last year on September 1st, Hurricane Ida flooded Brooklyn (keep your fingers crossed for us ๐ค). Typically, early September in NYC will be warm late summer temps.. but may cool off at night!
What should I wear?
Wedding is Black Tie Optional - a.k.a dress up (formal dresses, suits, tux) if you want, but... you do you!
Saturday brunch is casual, wear what you would normally wear to brunch ๐ณ
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and reception is on the rooftop of The Box House Hotel. Depending on the weather, the retractable roof may be open or closed. If we are so lucky ๐, we'll keep the roof open and it'll feel like we're outside! If not, the roof will be enclosed and there will be A/C or heat according to the temps. So fahhhgeddaboutit!
Where are you registered?
Having everyone together to celebrate is the best gift we could be given!
We're incredibly fortunate and are lucky enough to already have a home full of everything we could possibly need. So, in lieu of a standard registry, we've created a "Honeyfund", where you can contribute funds to our dream honeymoon, dream house and our future together. Again, your presence at our special day is truly gift enough.. but if you insist: www.honeyfund.com/wedding/weis-wheaton-09-02-2022
Whom should I call with questions?
Call or text Rachael 404-317-6635
You can also call or text Scott at 917-543-4207, but he will likely direct you to Rachael.
Registry
Your presence alone is enough of a present to us! But for those of you who are stubborn, we've put together a "HoneyFund" for contributions to our dream honeymoon ๐ฏ๐
