Getting In
Welcome to our wedding in beautiful Ravello! To get here, we suggest flying into Naples-Capodichino International Airport (NAP). Unfortunately, getting to Ravello by public transport is rather challenging so we recommend taking a taxi or renting a car. Just make sure your hotel has parking available. You can pre-book shuttles for up to 8 people, which is more cost-effective than taking a taxi at the airport: .
The drive is around 75 minutes, but with stunning views of the Amalfi Coast along the way, you won't even notice the time. As many of you may be arriving from similar locations, you may want to consider coordinating with each other and sharing a taxi, shuttle or rental car to make the journey more fun and less expensive. Check out this spreadsheet if you have spots available / are looking for somebody to take you:
For those who want to take public transport, you will need to go from Naples airport to Naples main station and then change in Salerno and Amalfi. This means changing 3 times and 3hrs travel time by train and bus.
Please note that the village of Ravello itself is largely only accessible by foot and cars are only granted very limited access, i.e. to reach your hotel. However, distances are short so you will have no trouble walking everywhere in the village!
Accommodation
Ravello has many nice hotels and apartments to stay in. It is certainly the most beautiful village we have been to in Italy! As Ravello is very small we suggest that you secure accommodation as soon as possible as things book up quickly.
Our wedding planer Mario Capuano gets discounts at some of the accommodations in Ravello (mostly apartments, B&Bs), so one option is to email him at booking@wagnertours.it and book through him. You can check out some of the options on his website:
When you email him mention:
1) Our wedding: Nina & Rasmus, July 20, 2024.
2) The exact dates you want to stay. Minimum stay is usually 3 nights - we recommend Thursday to Sunday to make the most of the activities we have planned.
3) A specific accommodation from the website that caught your eye or a price range so he can recommend the best available options for you.
4) The names of all the guests in your party.
Please note that we will be staying at Villa Maria, while the wedding party will be split between Villa Maria and Hotel Giordano. Unfortunately, both hotels are already at capacity. However, feel free to stop by and say hello!
Some other hotels we recommend:
1) Hotel Rufolo: - special rate if you pay 30% upfront and by e-mailing info@hotelrufolo.it and mentioning our wedding
2) Hotel Villa Fraulo: - 13% discount when booking through reservations@villafraulo.com and paying before September 30. Please mention our wedding details in your request to avail of the discount.
3) Hotel Graal:
4) Villa Amore: - 5% discount with code Rothewedding2024
One last piece of advice: make sure to stay in Ravello itself (check carefully on google maps before booking!), as the neighbouring villages may be across a hill and impossible to reach by foot, especially at night when taxis are hard to come by. Some of Mario's options are not in Ravello so we suggest not to go for those. Trust us, it's worth it for the stunning views and convenience.
