Our Story
His: It was a late afternoon in June in Boulder, Colorado when we first laid eyes on each other. I was playing darts with a friend when a beautiful girl asked if she and a friend could join us. It was an instant connection. We'd spend every minute together while Robin was in town visiting that weekend.
I took Robin on a hike up to the top of Green Mountain, went out for tacos and beer, rode bikes out to disc golf, and ended the evening with karaoke. It was one year later at the top of the very same mountain we'd hiked on our very first date that I would propose. We've been exploring together ever since.
Hers: My friend and I went to a frequented Boulder dive bar late one afternoon in June, 2015. I never suspected that the man I would spend the rest of my life with would walk in shortly after.
But in he came. I was immediately drawn in ...his smile, his hair (that hair!). I knew I wouldn't (couldn't) leave without talking to him. My friend and I walked over to where they were playing darts and I asked if he and his friend would play with us ... little did I know that would be the first of many horribly played games of darts (on my part, not his!).
The next day he tried to kill me by taking me on a 4+ hour hike in the heat (and elevation). By the time we finished, my hangover was gone and I was ready to keep exploring. Turns out, we love all the same activities and haven't stopped playing together since the day we met.
