The Place
Getting To Old Gore
The lovely Old Gore Barn is located just outside the picturesque Cotswold village of Calmsden. The town of Cirencester is just a 12-minute drive from the venue, and Cheltenham is just a 28-minute drive away too. Both towns have their own train station if you'd prefer to travel by rail. We would highly recommend making a weekend of it in The Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Cotswolds and areas around Old Gore Barn can understandably get booked up in advance. We would recommend you make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best availability (and prices).

The Stump
Baz & Fred not only have a beautiful wedding venue, but they also have two gorgeous hotels very close to Old Gore Barn. The Stump - which is just a 2-minute drive away - offers pretty boutique-style rooms and a killer pizza restaurant menu.
The New Inn
Baz & Fred's other hotel is The New Inn, a 16th century ivy-covered coaching inn with chic rooms and outstanding country pub menu. The inn is 17 minutes away from the venue in the pretty village of Coln St Aldwyns - which is worth a visit in itself!
De Vere Cotswold Water Park
The Bride, Groom and wedding party have found a set of cool lakeside lodges for the weekend within Cerney Wick, a 16-minute drive away from Old Gore Barn. If you'd like to stay nearby you're welcome to check in to the De Vere Cotswold Water Park - a waterside hotel as stunning as its surroundings.
Airbnb Weekend Away
We are so excited to celebrate with you all, but we appreciate we are asking you to travel quite some distance. That's why Airbnb would be our top recommendation for making a holiday of your weekend in The Cotswolds, and there's plenty of lovely properties still available for our wedding date.

If you need to book a taxi or minibus for the wedding, please do take a peek at the Yard Space's recommended list of suppliers. Under 'transport' you'll find a whole host of local taxi services who will be very familiar with the venue and area.

When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by 31st March 2023, so we can have an accurate headcount for finalising our big day.
Where should I park?
Old Gore Barn has plenty of space in their free parking area. Please be mindful of other guests when picking your spot, and consider sharing a car or taxi with others.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding will be held in the renovated stone barns of Old Gore, and we hope the weather allows us to have drinks outside. In the evening you'll be sure to find us in the covered outdoor area holding a marshmallow over the fire pit.
What will the weather be like?
On our wedding date in 2022 it was 20 degrees and sunny - so think happy thoughts people! Whilst we can never guarantee glorious sun or heat in the UK, we can promise you a great day and outdoor firepits to keep you cosy in the evening.
Are there any colours that guests should avoid wearing?
Well don't we scrub up well! You are welcome to wear whatever colour makes you happy - no restrictions here. If you would like to know so you can compliment the I Do Crew, our bridesmaids and groomsmen will be in green.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! I do not recommend wearing stiletto heels. I repeat, I do not recommend wearing stiletto heels. Maybe you are more skilled and sturdy than I (Jen) am, but I'd hate any of you to ruin your heels - or ankles - in the grass. Men, be aware that the outdoor area is cream Cotswold stone chippings and your shoes may get a little dusty.
What time will the reception end?
Carriages are at midnight, or we will all turn in to pumpkins.
Is there a gifts registry?
You presence is gift enough, and our greatest wish is to have you celebrate our wedding with us. If you would still like to get us a little something, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be most appreciated. We are very excited to be hopping on a plane to Los Angeles a few days after the big day!
Are kids welcome?
Your mini me's name will be mentioned on your invite, if they are invited, and then it is entirely your choice if you would like to bring the little one to the wedding. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, or if you would like the details of some Yard Space recommended babysitting services!
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the venue is fully wheelchair friendly. Please reach out if you have any specific concerns and we can contact the venue directly.
