Registry
Your presence is enough of a present for us - there is really no obligation to gift us anything!
However, for those of you who are stubborn, we've pulled a wish-list together on the wedding shop. Click the link to see some of the things we'd love.
Otherwise, any contribution towards our honeymoon in Croatia would be much appreciated.
Travel
Getting to the Church on Time
There is parking available near the church, please aim to arrive for 13:00 to allow time to get seated for a prompt 13:30 start. Zoe's brother and logistics enthusiast, Paul Sciver, will be managing the parking. Watch out for the high vis and suit combo!
For those using public transport, we would recommend taking a train to Reading and getting a 30 minute taxi to the Church.
Wedding Breakfast Guests
For those joining us for the Wedding Breakfast, it is either a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive to Farley Hill House, plan your travel!
Evening Guests
After the Service, those of you who will be joining us for the Evening event are welcome to frequent the George and the Dragon Pub, down the road from the Church and on the way to Farley HIll House. Make sure you leave plenty of time to arrive at the evening event at 18:45; or you'll miss the speeches!
Book your ride home!
Farley Hill is fairly isolated, so make sure you've booked a taxi to your accommodation. The main reception will end at 23:30, with an after party going on until about 2 am. Get your taxi booked!

Holiday Inn Reading-South M4, JCT.11, an IHG Hotel, Basingstoke Road, Reading, UK
A safe option - 13 minutes drive from the venue, nice modern rooms and a wallet friendly price! We can vouch for this - we've stayed here with work! Never say our job isn't glamourous...
There are lots of other hotel or airbnb options around Farley Hill so feel free to do your own research too :)
Parking
For those with cars there is parking available. Please make sure you do not leave your car at the Church or the George and Dragon overnight. Cars can be left in the Victory Hall Car Park overnight.
Church - you can park at the church - the Usher's will be there to direct you!
George and Dragon - you can also park at the pub, but you cannot leave your car here. If you intend to park over night please park at Victory Hall and walk back to the pub.
Reception / Evening at Farley Hill House - there is no parking at the house, everyone must park at the Victory Hall Car Park (signposted from the church).
Trains
If you're travelling by train, we would suggest going to Reading station and getting a taxi from there.
There are train strikes planned on Saturday 13th so please plan ahead and leave longer for your journey!
From London the GWR trains from Paddington are affected (schedule TBC on 9th August), but the Elizabeth line and the slower trains to Reading from Waterloo are unaffected.
Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
Can I bring a date?
If you have a plus one, they should be on your invite! Some people are evening guests so check your schedule. Get in touch if you've got any questions
Where should I park?

What should I wear?
Lounge suits and summer dresses or equivalent.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is in a church, but our reception will be in a marquee in the garden of Farley Hill House
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Do not wear stiletto heels!! There are grills in the church that your heels will go down and as the marquee is in the garden they could sink in to soft grass
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes, for sure, use the hastag #samandzo if posting on social media.
I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?
There are plenty of hotel or airbnb options nearby in Reading. There are a number of good hotels south of Reading near the M4. We would recommend booking as soon as you can as the summer is getting busy. We are hosting a cricket match on the Sunday and you are welcome to play, watch or just make the most of the lovely Farley Hill House on the Sunday so stick around if you can!
Can we throw confetti after the wedding church service?
Yes! We will provide confetti. The Church asks that we use bio degradable confetti sparingly in or just outside the churchyard. Please bear this in mind on the day and do not bring your own.
What's happening on the Sunday?
On Sunday we will be hosting a Brides vs Grooms Cricket Match at Farley Hill CC.
Food and drink will be available to buy at the cricket club.
There will also be tennis, swimming and general mooching at the lovely Farley Hill house. So bring your swimmers and tennis rackets!
The weather looks great!
Teams have been selected. May the best team win!
What should I do if I smoke?
Please avoid smoking if at all possible. It has been a long, hot, dry summer so far and the risk of fire is high.
If you must then please do so on the patio area where there will be ashtrays provided.
