Story

We connected on the dating app Bumble, but we first met at Washington Square Tavern in Brookline, Massachusetts. Brian got there first, and remembered thinking the moment he saw her walk in, "Oh wow, she's even prettier in person!" They sat at the bar, talked for hours, and since Brian had just moved to Boston a few months ago, he told Sarah about how he made a "Rory Gilmore pro/con list" of all the reasons to take a job offer in Boston over one in Houston, Texas. Sarah was sold. And taking the biggest risk of his life to move to Boston was the best decision Brian ever made.

The second-best decision he ever made was following Sarah to California. They settled near Los Angeles, and Sarah instantly became the world's best dog mom to Bucky, who hates inclement weather almost as much as Sarah does. Fortunately, they both acclimated, and Sarah and her new "Santa Monica Terrier" grew as close as two pals could be during the pandemic.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A.

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by May 31 so we can have an accurate headcount for food.

Can I bring a date?

Sure - the more the merrier! Just let us know who's coming so we know how many hot dogs to throw on the grill!

Are kids welcome?

Yes - come as you are! The park's pool will be open and there will even be some games for kids to enjoy.

What will the weather be like?

Vermont could be hot and muggy, rainy, or even a bit chilly in the summer. It's best to dress for a nice summer day, but have a sweater waiting in the car.

Where should I park?

There is plenty of parking at the park. The celebration will be at the pavilion.

Will I have to pay for parking?

Nope! All names have been added to the list for our party. Simply give the park rangers your name at the entrance and you should be all set.

What should I wear?

Whatever you'd like! We will be wearing nice outfits but this is in a park so don't worry about dressing too fancy!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The celebration will be outside, but we have rented an open-air pavilion to comfortably fit far more people than will be coming in the event of inclement weather. There are bathroom facilities near the pavilion as well, and there will be a pool to play in and a jungle gym for kids to play on.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

It's Vermont so Birkenstocks are considered formal wear. Heels will be challenging on grass so I'd skip!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! Take any/all pictures you want. If there's an unflattering photo of us and you post it to social media just don't tag me.

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Yes! It's #aBSwedding

Whom should I call with questions?

You can feel free to text Brian or Sarah or call our parents - depending on the time it comes in we may just be slow to respond.
