We are both so grateful for all the support and love we have received from you all. However, there are many things we need for the practicalities of married life, so we have put together a gift list on the Wedding Shop. Thank you so much!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by the 1st February 2022.

Can I bring a date?

Unfortunately, only the people addressed on your wedding invitation are invited to the wedding.

Are babies and children welcome?

Children and babies are certainly welcome during the wedding ceremony at St Mary's Church.

The Old Mill is located amongst the River Kennet, which whilst being beautiful, does pose a risk to young children. Therefore, as much as we love children, we have unfortunately had to make the decision to not allow children aged between 2 and 10 to the wedding reception.

Where should I park?

For peace of mind, we recommend aiming to arrive half an hour before the ceremony to ensure parking and seating (12:30pm).

A limited number of free parking spaces are available at the church, on the nearby residential streets, as well as in Eastrop Park. However, for peace of mind, we recommend the multi-storey car park in Festival Place (RG21 7BA). Car parking at Festival Place costs £3 for 2 or 3 hours.

The Old Mill has a large car park on site which is ours to use for the day with no parking charges.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is indoors at St Mary's Church, and our reception will be indoors and on the grounds of The Old Mill.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please call or text Sarah or Lindsay Bristow (Sarah's Mum) for any queries!

Will you live stream your ceremony?

Yes! If you are abroad (hi James' family!) or cannot physically make the ceremony, please see our Schedule for the link to the live stream.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

There will be an option for particular dietary requirements when you RSVP.

What should/could I do between the ceremony and the reception?

We understand that there will be around a 3-hour gap between the ceremony and the evening reception. This would be a great time to socialise with the other guests, as well as grabbing something to eat from one of the many restaurants in Festival Place (but not too much because there will be a feast for you at the reception!) We recommend booking in advance for around 3:00pm.
Our favourite restaurants in Festival Place include Pizza Express, ASK Italian, and The Angel (Wetherspoons).

I'm also getting married soon! Who is supplying the ___ (e.g., flowers, photography, cake) at your wedding?

We're more than happy to give advice for your wedding and answer any questions about wedding suppliers. After the wedding, we will provide a list of all our amazing suppliers here (we highly recommend them all!)
