Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). The RSVP deadline is September 16th, 2023.

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the welcome party on Friday!

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Atlanta, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in Atlanta should be beautiful, averaging 60-75 degrees, but will get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, and check the weather before you travel!

Where should I park?

There is parking at the hotel and there is quite a bit of parking in the lot in back of the venue as well.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, and we will have a golf cart available for anyone needing assistance getting around the property!

What should I wear?

Please wear semi formal/cocktail attire, if you have any questions or are unsure please reach out to either Jake or Sarah.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors (rain permitting), but our reception will be indoors.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them with us.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

We would recommend you do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in, so if you are opting for heels wear a chunky heel.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please call either Sarah (720-244-5394) or Jake (770-265-9559) with any questions prior to the wedding.

Story

We first met at a party after the Georgia Tech homecoming concert and got chatting when Sarah got a text that the artist was going to another party and ditched Jake to go hang with the band. Jake was smart enough to get Sarah's number to "send proof she met the band." She then later sent him pictures of the lead singer pouring her a drink.

From there, we started talking almost daily, becoming best friends over the next few months. Jake made an effort to ask Sarah out a few times (Sarah's count grows every time you ask), but she was always busy. Come spring semester we finally made the leap to be more than just friends and started officially dating, with our first date being a ride in the Reck around campus and stopping through the Cookout drive thru.

We dated all throughout our time at Tech, and once we both got out we moved in together and adopted our dog Banana. We've since moved up to Raleigh, got engaged, moved back to Atlanta, and bought our first home.
