Story
Nic and Shannon first met over coffee in the desert at Burning Man.
Shannon remembers it like this:
"He started chatting me up about quantum physics and I tried to impress him by giving him a little drawing lesson. I remember he asked me if I fancied going over to look at the view at the top of a near by tower, but I was so flustered and oblivious that I said no. I asked him to sign my burning man yearbook and after I got back, I noticed he left me a list of book recommendations and his email address. I sent him an email after that and we ended up talking every day since then.
A few months later, I came out to the UK to visit him. On that trip he took me on a date to Bodium Castle, and when he busted out the foam swords for a sword fight at sunset, I knew he was the one for me."

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP as soon as you know, no later than June 12th, 2022. The earlier you can share, the better, due to the complexities of organising an international wedding in the wake of Coronavirus.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1!
Are kids welcome?
Yes! If your little ones find the need to express themselves vocally during the ceremony or reception, please flag an attendant to help. Please reach out if you have questions!
What will the weather be like?
We're crossing our fingers, but the weather in England is quite unpredictable all year round. Google tells us that there's an average of 9 days of rain in August, with an average high of 21ºC(70ºF) and a low of 14ºC(58ºF).
Where should I park?
There will be ample parking provided at the Castle when you arrive.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Please let us know of any accessibility concerns so that we can make sure you have assistance ready to help.
What should I wear?
Garden Party Attire.
Please, kindly do not wear white or off white.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Weather dependent
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
We recommend against wearing stiletto heels as you may wish to enjoy a stroll around the Castle's gardens.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
While we're not too picky about this, we want to encourage you to be fully present with us and engage in all the fun activities we've been planning for you to enjoy together. To put any photography FOMO to rest, we have an amazingly talented photographer and videographer and will be sharing clips and photos after the wedding.
Whom should I call with questions?
Please join our wedding Slack for coordinating with fellow guests and and remaining questions you may have:
What if I have a dietary restriction?
Please let us know what dietary restrictions you have as soon as possible. Shannon can connect you with our caterers, who are more than happy to help.
Are there any special COVID-19 policies to be aware of?
A good number of our guests are immunocompromised and we would never want to risk their health. To ensure they are able to join us, we respectfully require that all attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to attending the wedding, unless medically required not to. If you are unwilling to protect our other guests and meet this request, please let us know you'll be unable to attend our wedding as soon as possible.
We are hoping that it will be safe to interact without social distancing and masks by the date of our wedding, but whatever the situation brings, we will be putting the health and safety of our guests first. When the date draws closer, we will reach out with updates on any changes.
Thank you for your understanding!
