Story
Stephanie here! We first met during my Sophomore/Nick's Junior year of college at Quinnipiac University. Although we became friends quickly, timing was never quite on our side for anything more. First Nick was in a relationship, then I was, until finally the summer before my senior year of college when we realized our feelings for one another...right before I had to get on a plane to study abroad in London for a month. We made the most of the days leading up to my trip, going on what Nick dubbed a "Super-Date" that took us adventuring all over Boston.
When I returned, we decided that there was no time like the present and that we wanted to be together, no matter what the physical distance was between us. With me still living in New Jersey and Nick living in Massachusetts, our commitment was put to the test right away. Despite this, we knew that we had something special. I brought Nick to Wednesday night pasta at my grandma's house within days of our relationship being official and Nick invited me to spend the first of many weekends with his family on Cape Cod shortly after. We made a rather ambitious plan to try to see each other every other weekend and promised each other that this part of our relationship was temporary.
Three years later, I was finally able to get a job in Boston and relocate. Our long-distance chapter had finally ended! Two years after I moved to Massachusetts, Nick proposed on a snowy, October day (yes, you read that right) in Bretton Woods, NH and the rest is history. We can't wait to start our life together as husband and wife and we're so excited to be able to share our special day with you!

At Quinnipiac University!

Nick made the first move and kissed me after we watched our first movie together.
What was your most memorable date?
One year on our anniversary, we went to this amazing restaurant called Blackfish Tavern. Nick was driving his grandpa's 1995 Cadillac at the time. It rocked and bounced so much that after 2 glasses of wine at dinner I joked with Nick that I nearly got seasick on the drive home.

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
During our first winter living together, we decided to take a walk around our neighborhood while it was snowing. It's fair to say we're not very spontaneous people.
The dorkiest thing about us is
how much of our relationship involves quoting movies at each other.

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by August 23rd, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1!
Are kids welcome?
Unless otherwise indicated on your invitation, as much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. We want you to take this time to enjoy yourselves and our celebration. Please reach out if you have questions!
What will the weather be like?
We can expect the weather to be anywhere from the mid 60s to low-mid 70s during this time of year. That being said, it's the fall in New England, so we recommend bringing a little something to cover your shoulders during the ceremony just in case.
Where should I park?
We will have shuttle buses running between the hotel and the venue before the ceremony begins and after the reception ends. That being said, if you miss the bus, or feel more comfortable driving, there is plenty of free parking at the venue.
If you choose to drive and don't feel comfortable getting behind the wheel at the end of the reception, Birch Wood is happy to let you leave your vehicle in their parking lot overnight.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the entrance to the venue is at ground level.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule page for the dress code.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors. Both will be at the vineyard. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved inside.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
The outdoor ceremony space is on pavers so your shoes are totally up to you. That being said, there are some grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in for pictures, so be sure to keep that in mind as well. As for the reception, we will be providing a more comfy option so you can be on the dance floor with us all night long!
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony! We would love for you to take photos during the cocktail hour/reception and share them on our app Joy.
Whom should I call with questions?
Please call or text our our lovely Maid of Honor, Lisa, at 908-902-1225 or our Best Man, Kevin, at 781-507-1953 with any questions.
