Story

Sumeet and Alisha would have never guessed that the first day of college would also become the beginning of their Bollywood-worthy love story. They were assigned to live on the same floor of their Georgetown dorm and couldn't have been more different from one another. Sumeet was instantly friends with anyone and everyone but had the hardest time breaking through with the girl who lived at the end of the hallway. It took some time to win Alisha over, but eventually, he was dragging her to dance practice, letting her copy his homework, and following her around campus.

They quickly started to realize they were better together and maybe more than just best friends (as many of their friends had predicted years before). From college to starting their careers in NYC to traveling around the world from Brazil to Bali, Sumeet and Alisha have made a special life together in Brooklyn - and they wouldn't have it any other way.

Over the past seven years, they have essentially grown up together - supporting each other through every challenge and celebrating every milestone. Over time they have been each other's best friends, dance partners, dinner dates, and so much more.

By the time Sumeet was ready to propose, Alisha knew him too well to be surprised. Despite that, Sumeet pulled off a nearly perfect proposal weekend at Georgetown where it all began - with all their family and friends there to celebrate.

Sindhi girl from Miami meets Punjabi boy from Long Island. Who's ready for the grand finale of this story?

Where should I stay over the weekend?

We have set up a room block at our venue The Biltmore Hotel for everyone! If you would like to stay off property we have some provided some options that are just a short drive away for your convenience. Ubers are rather easy to come across in Miami.
Please visit the 'Travel' section on our home page for room block information and other hotel options.

Do you have a registry?

Your presence in our lives is a gift on its own, but should you want to contribute to our future, we've set up a life fund! Please find it at the bottom of our website.
We are requesting no boxed gifts!

Where should I park?

Parking is available in the lot to the right of The Biltmore Hotel. Valet service is also available.

Where can I go out to eat or order food from?

There are plenty of options for food on the property (including a new cafe on the ground floor!), but should you want to order delivery here are some of our favorite spots in the neighborhood: Mister 01 (pizza), Moshi Moshi (sushi), Sweetgreen (salads), Coyo Taco (Mexican), Greenlife (healthy), La Sanwicherie (sandwiches).
If you would like to venture out here are a few spots in Coral Gables we recommend: Bulla (Spanish), Talavera (Mexican), Tinta Y Cafe (Cuban), Doc B's (American), Threefold Cafe (brunch).
If you're looking for a coffee or quick snack out we recommend: Per'la, Bachour, Cafe Grumpy, and Pasion del Cielo.

The following neighborhoods are great for food and/or shopping:
Miami Design District, Wynwood, Cocowalk in Coconut Grove, Brickell City Center in Brickell, and Lincoln Mall Road on Miami Beach.
Some of our other favorite destinations to visit around Miami are:
