Our Story

Justin and Kayla met each other towards the end of 2018 and hit it off really well. They couldn't resist the strong connection between them and officially became a couple on February 2nd, 2019. Justin popped the question on July 1st, 2022, and Kayla happily said YES! They are now all set to tie the knot on October 4th, 2024.

"Justin wrote me on December 26th, 2018, for the first time. I have always said that he was my Christmas blessing because he made me realize that the situation I was in was not for me. I took a chance, broke up with the guy I was seeing, and started giving all my attention to Justin. Now, here we are." - Kayla Bolin.

Tidbits

How did you first meet?

Good ole Facebook!

Who made the first move? How?

Justin. He sent Kayla the first message on Facebook, she replied & the rest was history.

Who's going to take out the trash?

Both of us share the responsibility of taking out the trash. Whoever gets to it first, takes care of it.

What was your most memorable date?

We went to Son of a Butcher Steakhouse and then caught an unforgettable performance of Anastasia at the Aronoff. It was an amazing experience that we won't forget anytime soon.

What's your favorite activity together?

Watching our favorite shows on Netflix or going to a concert together! We would be happy with either option.

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

Greece!

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

California.

We’re on the same page about

Our religious beliefs.

A life goal of ours

Our life's goal is to always face challenges in life with love, empathy, and unwavering strength. We want to continue to build on our family, which is already filled with love and happiness. By facing these challenges together, we can strengthen our bond and grow old, knowing that God is always by our side.

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done

The time we booked our next vacation while we were on vacation!

The dorkiest thing about us is

Our family loves spending time together, even if it might seem a little "dorky" to some people. We enjoy dancing around the house, cuddling up in our pajamas for TV time, and playing all sorts of family games. We're all about creating a warm, welcoming environment filled with lots of laughter and good times.

A social cause we care about

Losing a baby during pregnancy due to miscarriage is a common occurrence. It's important to provide comprehensive care that includes not only medical and physical aspects but also emotional, social, cultural, and psychological support, with the woman at the center of all care. If someone you know experiences a miscarriage, it can be challenging to know what to say. However, being understanding and compassionate can provide a supportive environment for them to share their thoughts. Losing a baby during pregnancy due to stillbirth or miscarriage is still considered a taboo subject worldwide, and it is associated with stigma and shame. Let us all be a part of changing this narrative.

We take pride in

We take pride in our babies on Earth and in Heaven, as well as our furry companions!

What is your favorite date-night place?

Our favorite date-night place is Painting with a Twist! We love coming together in a creative space & creating art together to cherish for a lifetime.

Who's more competitive? Is there a game that you're both too competitive to play together?

Justin is more competitive than I am, and we learned the hard way that we can't play "It Takes Two" together!

Who's most likely to apologize first?

Justin.

What is one of your favorite parts of your relationship?

One of our favorite parts of our relationship is our endless supply of inside jokes, such as "Soup Latte," which always makes us laugh.

We can't wait to explore new destinations, indulge in new experiences, and make memories together that last a lifetime. If you'd like to help us make this dream come true, you can gift us in any way you like - cash, gift cards, or electronically through Venmo (@bolink93).

Getting In

If you're flying to the wedding venue, we recommend going to James M. Cox Dayton International Airport instead of CVG, Northern Kentucky Airport. It's only 37 miles away and is much less stressful! Plus, it's a smaller airport which means you won't have to deal with the crowds. Hope this helps!

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by July 1st, 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount for seating arrangements. 💌💕

Can I bring a date?

Yes, but please respect the couple's wishes by bringing only one (1) adult guest. Refrain from bringing anyone under the age of 18.

Are kids welcome?

In short answer, no. We are asking that anyone 12 and under stay home.

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. The ONLY exception is for members of the bridal party. We want to make it clear that this matter is not open for discussion, and we kindly request that you respect our wishes.

However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Thursday dress rehearsal/rehearsal dinner event the day before our Wedding! We have also included multiple fun places to visit in our "Travel" section.

Thank you for your cooperation & understanding. ♥

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to Ohio, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny, y'all.

During the day, the weather in Ohio could potentially do whatever it wants. In the beginning of October, the days are generally sunny with mid-60-degree temperatures but it will get chilly at night.

Please bring some warm layers for the evening if you plan on venturing outdoors after the sun goes down. We don't want anyone freezing their ...well you get the point. 😉😏

Where should I park?

There is plenty of free parking near the entrance of Whispering Hearts.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes, absolutely! ♿

What should I wear?

Cocktail Dress Attire.

A balance between elegant and comfortable, fancy and pared-back.

Additional details: We want you to be comfortable enough to dance with us! Instead of a floor-length dress, consider a tea-length, knee-length, or midi look. You could also opt-in for a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a tie.

❗️Please refrain from wearing white❗️

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but our reception will be indoors.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. We will be outdoors on pavement for the ceremony but there are multiple grassy areas you might want to visit. I would suggest to wear chunky heels, flats or boots.

Can't have any of you ruining a nice pair of shoes or breaking any ankles!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos and share them on our app, Joy. 📸💕🥂

We would also appreciate it if you could use our wedding hashtag, #talkkirbytome when you post online!

🚫IMPORTANT: Please refrain from taking photos during our ceremony🚫

Capturing beautiful moments is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. That's why we've hired a fantastic photographer who knows how to create the perfect shot. To ensure that every moment is captured without any obstruction, we kindly request that you refrain from using your cell phone or camera during the event.

Trust us, you'll be glad you did when you see the stunning results.

Whom should I call with questions?

We kindly request that you avoid asking the Bride and Groom any questions. Our Matron of Honor, Tasha McDonald, would be happy to assist you with any inquiries you may have.

You can reach her via call or text at 513-889-6540. 📞📱✨

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
