Note

Accommodation in Cape Town

Staying in the city means you'll be close to all the main attractions Cape Town has to offer. There are hundreds of options to suit each budget and preference, but here are some neighbourhoods we recommend: Seapoint or Camps Bay to be close to the ocean; the Waterfront to be close to shopping and the harbour; De Waterkant or Gardens to be close to downtown and nightlife. If you'd like to stay closer to where the bride and groom live, scroll down.

Note

Accommodation in Table View

Table View is about 20 minutes drive from the city and 1 hour drive from the wedding venue. However if you would like to stay close to where the bride and groom live, this is a good choice. There is Dolphin Beach Hotel, for example, as well as dozens of other Airbnbs and hotels in the area. Just search for "Blouberg beach".

Covid-19 travel regulations

In South Africa, there is currently no quarantine obligation for those entering the country. However, you are required to produce a negative PCR test no older than 72 hours. This might change closer to the wedding date so please keep checking the regulations of South Africa, your departure country, any transit countries, and your airline.

Q & A

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by February 12th, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

Can I bring a date?

Please check your invite for your +1!

What are the Covid-19 regulations?

At the moment, it is mandatory to present a negative PCR test upon arrival in South Africa (but no quarantine), and to wear masks in public spaces. However if the regulations change in a way that affects our wedding function, we will update this website and let you know.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Friday afternoon picnic! We will update this website with the details of the picnic soon. Please reach out if you have questions!

Will you have babysitters on the premises?

We will not be providing babysitters on the premises, however we will be creating a WhatsApp group for parents so that we can coordinate child care together, and we'll help find a suitable solution for that afternoon/evening.

What will the weather be like?

It will be summer in Cape Town, so we expect temperatures in the mid-to-high twenties Celsius. That said, we advise you to always bring layers in case the wind picks up or someone has the air conditioning on. With the wind it can get a bit chilly, especially by the coast!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and drinks will be outdoors, but dinner and dancing will be indoors.

What should I wear?

Dress to kill! In other words, an outfit that is festive and memorable.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Yes! We would love for you to take photos. However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.

Where should I park?

There is parking at Zorgvliet, just follow the signs once you enter the estate. Parking is free.

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

No, however there will be a shuttle between the parking lot and the ceremony area. The shuttles will stop running though when the ceremony is about to start.

What time should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive by 2:45pm to allow time for parking, the shuttle to the ceremony area, and settling in before the ceremony kicks off.

What time will the reception end?

After dinner, there will be music and dancing until about 1am.

What if I have food allergies?

Please let us know in your RSVP by February 12th if you have any food allergies.
