Story
Every love story is different. Teagan and I's story is one that embraces love, friendship and patience. We both went to the same high school but we were at different campuses at this time in our lives. Come to find out later on we lived no more than a block from each other. Our story doesn't begin under the stars or at a sunset. No, our story began on social media. She had liked almost most if not all my pictures on my page. At that time, Teagan was 16 and I was 17. Furthermore, not that we were bad kids, but at the time we were both grounded. I instantly messaged her and the spark of a connection was there. We went on to see each other before my varsity basketball games, as she was a cheerleader and hanging out with the same friend group. Some people have love at first sight and while that may be true, life was changing for us and fast. Matthew was getting ready to go to school at Western Michigan University and Teagan was finishing her senior year at Warren Township High School getting ready for her next life move.
There is a great jingle by the late great Tom Petty, "Love is a long road." There is also an old saying that true love always finds its way back. This is our story, true love finding its way back. Teagan and myself rekindled our relationship two years after I had left for college at Western Michigan University. Teagan, after completing a year of community college, decided to take her talents to Grand Rapids, MI to study at Grand Valley State University. Before she came, the two of us had seen each other at friend gathering back where we grew up and I couldn't help afterwards sending her text after text that I need to see her again. She stole my heart that night and she continues to do so every single day.
Let's fast-forward, we began dating the end of that year when we saw each other at that friend gathering. She would come visit my boy infested college apartments and I would visit her at her nice clean apartments. Through that time we spent much time together. Many late nights, fun parties and heart felt conversations are some things that come to mind when I think back to those times. Once I graduated I moved to be closer to her and of course work a full time job as a somewhat responsible 23 year old. This is when the Tom Petty tune of "Love is a long road" turned to a very short road as I continuously fell more and more in love with her. Every hug, every kiss and every I love you from her warms my heart beyond words can describe. There is nothing more lovely than Teagan Marie Tennerman. On 9/23/2022 is when her and I start our lives together as the Moran's.
