Story

We don’t really remember the first time we saw each other, and we didn’t have one miraculous moment, but rather a slow knitting together of our hearts. Our families have known each other a decade now, and been friends in different capacities that whole time. We always thought the other was nice to look at, and interesting to be around, but an age difference kept us from the thought of pursuing one another.

Megan, his sister-in-law, my friend and bridesmaid, told me at an event she “called dibs” on me for Zane, and thankfully those dibs somehow worked! We did a year of out-of-state long distance, flying back and forth, plans on hold because of a pandemic, shifting life, learning intentional communication, giving lots of grace. We’ve done many months of shorter, much more manageable in-state long distance, driving tons of miles, learning to love each other more through exhaustion and frustrations, and walking through uncertainty. We are so thankful the Lord has brought us to this point. We are also so excited to share it with people who have poured in to our lives, both as individuals, and as a couple, for a long time.

Your presence is enough of a present to us! We also have many things we need already, but have a list of some things we love and a few fun things. The biggest thing is our honeymoon fund! Feel free to give how ever you can, or the pleasure of memories with you.

Please RSVP by August 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount.

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones! feel free to bring them, but please make note of that in your RSVP so that our head count is accurate.

This time of the year tends to be warm here in Oregon. We usually have temps in the low 90's and the wedding is outside, but bring a layer in case of an evening chill.

Where should I park?

We are having parking at Applegate Community Church and shuttling to the venue.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding will be outdoors.

What should I wear?

Semi-formal

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

The ceremony will be in a grassy area, so wear shoes that are comfortable and stable. We don't want any broken ankles!

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

We LOVE our photographer, and we know you will too! We ask that you turn off your devices and be in the moment with us and let her do her job. She's amazing at it. During the dancing and hang out time we would love for you to capture your memories and add them to the moments page here, or social media with our hashtag. #MooreTogether21
