Our Story

Zoe and Hunter first met in middle school, circa 2009, but their love story didn't begin until 10 years later. They reconnected after college, you guessed it, via social media. A modern day love story for the books. On their first date to Front Street Brewery they knew they had a lot of catching up to do, and it didn't take long to see that the connection they had was something special. Fast forward a few months and they've met each other's families, gone on many more Front Street dates, and found themselves falling in love.

On December 27th, 2020, Hunter asked Zoe to marry him at the happiest place on Earth.

Today, Zoe and Hunter live together with their two dogs, Cooper and Loki, and their cat Pepper. They are truly loving the lives they're building for themselves and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Now you're all caught up, they've planned their dream wedding, and everybody is ready to walk down the aisle. Zoe & Hunter are so excited to begin this next chapter of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you!

Tidbits

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

The short answer is- we don’t know! We’ve booked our honeymoon through a travel service called Blind Experiences. They are an international travel company that does all the planning for you, and doesn’t tell you about any of it! We started by answering a (very) long questionnaire about what we like to do, what vibe we’re going for on our trip, and things we prefer not to do. Then they sent us a mood board to look at (which we LOVED), and....now we wait. We will receive multiple envelopes that contain information about our surprise honeymoon, and we will open them all along the way. We are so excited for this very unique trip and can’t wait to show you where we end up!

How did Hunter propose?

We planned a trip to Disney World with Zoe and her family, Hunter, and Hunter's mom. We spent our first park day in Magic Kingdom. We had been walking around the park for most of the day, when Hunter suggested we stop to take some pictures in front of the castle (weird, he never initiates picture taking.) But I (Zoe) still didn't know what was going on, so we proceeded to take our pictures, then I look over and he was on his knee. It wasn't until after I said yes that I realized there were so many other clues I could've picked up on- like getting our nails done on the way to Florida, and me not being allowed to carry our bag all day. I think everybody was happy crying, especially me. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal!

Q & A

What should I wear?

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up with us! We are requesting a Semi-Formal dress code for our guests. Our only request is that you let Zoe be the only one in white. Please also keep in mind that we are having a barn wedding. And while dinner will be served inside, almost everything else will take place outdoors. Please choose your shoes accordingly, and come ready to dance the night away!

What should I do if I can't make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "no," so that we can plan accordingly.

Can I take and post photos of the wedding on social media?

We are going to have an entirely “unplugged” ceremony. We ask that our guests not have phones/cameras/other devices out while we’re at the altar. This is because we’ve hired two amazing photographers and a videographer to capture this special moment, and we want our friends and family to be fully present with us during this time. We can't wait to share all of our photos with you as soon as we get them back. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
After the ceremony is over, however, we encourage our guests to take as many pictures as they’d like! And if you choose to post any, please include our hashtag #ThePriceIsRight, so that we can look through all of them later!

Where should I park?

When you arrive at the barn, you will see a dirt parking lot on the right side of the driveway. After you park, a golf cart will pick you up and drive you up to the barn. You don’t need to walk up the long driveway unless you prefer to!

Additionally, The Barn at Rock Creek has given us permission to leave vehicles in the parking lot overnight. We don’t want any of our family or friends drinking and driving on our wedding night. Please have a designated driver or click this link to download an Uber voucher for a discounted ride home:

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! We will be having an open bar with beer, wine, and spirits.

Are children invited?

We love your little ones and we are happy to have them join us on our big day. But please know that after dinner we are here to party! (See the above question about the open bar) If that sounds like an environment you aren’t comfortable having your kids in, we suggest either having them sit this one out entirely, or arranging a way for them to get home after dinner.

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions about anything! You can call or text either Zoe, (910) 200-3536, or Hunter, (910) 742-2037.

For any questions on our wedding day please reach out to our incredible coordinator Elise, at (703) 772-7819.

Registry

Thank you for visiting our registry! Because we are saving for our honeymoon, future home, and (eventually) kids, we would greatly appreciate monetary donations in lieu of gifts. While we realize this is not traditional, we already have a lot of the "normal registry items" we will need as we begin our journey into married life. If donating money isn’t your thing, we have included some physical gifts and experiences that we would love to have as well. But at the end of the day it is your presence (not presents!) that mean the most to us. We can’t wait to share our special day with you!
