If you're using Joy’s universal registry as your main registry, that's fantastic—everything will be in one place, and you’ll have easy tracking and automated thank-you notes. But if you already have an existing registry with another store, you have two great options: Transfer or Syncing.
Why Transfer is the Top Choice
Transfer lets you consolidate multiple registries into one easy-to-manage location within Joy. You’ll add, remove, and track all your gifts right on Joy. You’ll have a complete overview without juggling between different sites and guests have the ease of checking out in one place.

Streamlined Experience: Your guests can search for gifts across multiple registries directly from Joy. This simplifies their experience and ensures they see everything you need in one unified list.
Automatic Thank You Notes: With all gifts tracked in Joy, writing thank you notes becomes a breeze. Our automated tools will help you send personalized notes effortlessly.
To switch all your gift management to Joy, just click "Move Registry to Joy." This will streamline your process and ensure you benefit from all the perks Joy has to offer.
When Syncing Might Be Right for You
If you prefer to keep managing your gifts on your external registry site, syncing might be the right choice. You’ll keep track of gifts on your external registry and display them on Joy. However, you’ll need to manage adding, removing, and tracking gifts through the external site.
If you prefer to continue using the store’s site for gift management, click "No thanks, I’d like to continue adding gifts through (retailer’s name)."
While Syncing keeps you connected with your original registry, it doesn’t offer the same level of unified tracking and ease of use as Transfer. By transferring your registry to Joy, you optimize the management and enjoyment of your gift-gathering process. For those who have started with external registries, consider the benefits of consolidating to Joy for a more streamlined, supportive experience.
