Story
Well, we are both involved in international/multicultural ministry with the UPCI! I (Elise) had just gotten home from one of my times overseas right before the pandemic and noticed him sharing about a new program for Multicultural Ministries. There was something about him that just had me hooked and trying to find the courage to introduce myself! My concerns stopped me though: 1. "Surely he is already married," 2. "Nah, he wouldn't be interested in me anyway. I travel too much!" So, I went without introducing myself until much later.
Years would pass until I was back in the states again and saw him involved with a church singles group and realized that meant he was available! 👏🏼🙌🏼 After some time and a lot of encouragement from my friends (honorable mention to Christina), I finally introduced myself, and we hit it off and developed a deep, sincere connection that continued to grow even with travels. Take the chance you're given; you never know what it could lead to!
