Getting In
We recommend flying into Rome Airport Fiumicino FCO-Leonardo da Vinci Airport. Due to the long flight and jet lag, we recommend staying a few days in Rome prior to making your way to Ravello.
Getting to Ravello town square
There are a lot of ways to get to Ravello! If coming in from Rome, there are several private driver options, the train and then a ferry, or flying from Rome to Naples and then a taxi or private driver. The private driver option is the most convenient but if you are feeling adventurous the other options may be a fun way to see Italy. When flying into Naples from the U.S. , there is always a layover which in our experience was a bit stressful. If you decide to do this just make sure the layover allows for enough time to go through immigration/security/bag check before making it to your terminal ( approximately 3 hours), since usually there is only one flight to Naples per day.
Summer is the high season in the Amalfi Coast. Please make your arrangements as soon as possible for the best rates and availability.
The Amalfi Coast has many small towns besides Ravello. Sorrento is one of the larger towns near the Amalfi Coast and is approximately a 1hr and 18 minutes drive to Ravello. The largest town in the Amalfi Coast is Positano, which is approximately a 49 minute drive to Ravello. Along the coast there are other small towns such as Praiano, Atrani, Amalfi, Maiori, and Minori. They are all beautiful towns and we recommend stopping by to see them or even staying in one as they are all close to Ravello.
Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast, Piazza San Giovanni del Toro, Ravello, SA, Italy
The reception will take place at the Caruso. It is approximately a 6 minute walk to the town square, which is where the church is located.

Private Drivers
okay okay I know it sounds bougie... but seriously get a private driver to take you around. Driving your self is not recommended. The streets are windy and hectic. Locals mentioned several times that tourists crash within minutes of driving. Private drivers are surprisingly cheaper than the taxis. You can arrange for them to be with you for a certain amount of hours. You can have them pick you up and drop you back off at your hotel or even have them stay along with you and show you around. The company linked above was very professional. We had Gaetano as our guide and he was so sweet and knowledgeable, but I'm sure there are other great drivers available.
Private Driver (Rome to Ravello)
If you need a private driver from Rome to Ravello, I highly recommend Vito. He has coordinated with us to have our guests taken to Ravello from Rome. If you are interested, let him know you are coming in for our wedding. He also offers tours and has a bed and breakfast in Naples.
