Common Questions

For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!

What should I wear?

Please attend in formal cocktail attire.

Calling all ladies! There are grassy areas that you will have to walk in, including the ceremony and cocktail hour locations, so we recommend avoiding stiletto heels and instead considering chunky heels, flats or sandals.

If you’re looking for further direction, we love earthy neutral colors like our color scheme. Think blacks, greens & tans like these: bit.ly/3ZZFQbV

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM sharp. Please arrive at the venue no later than 15 minutes before the ceremony start time. This will allow you time to park, sign the guestbook and find a seat.

If you happen to arrive after the start of the ceremony, our coordinator will let you know if they are still allowing guests in or if you will need to wait until the ceremony is over. If that happens, you will still be able to attend the reception, so hang tight and we will see you soon!

Where should I park?

There is a large parking lot dedicated to the venue and a round-about area to drop off guests as needed.

Note: Cars can be left at the venue overnight, but must be picked up by 12pm the following day.

Will there be a shuttle from the hotels?

We will have a shuttle begin bringing guests from the hotels to the ceremony following this schedule:
- Residence Inn Pick Up: 3:30-3:40 PM
- Fairfield Inn & Suites Pick Up: 3:50-4:00 PM
- Venue Drop Off: Approx 4:10 PM

At the end of the reception, we will also have a shuttle that will return all guests to the two hotels, departing at approx 10:00 PM.

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

We are having an unplugged ceremony and ask that all guests refrain from pulling out your phones or taking photos during the ceremony. To accommodate those who would like to take their own ceremony photos, we will schedule time for guests to get their shot.

Aside from the ceremony, we would love for you to take photos and videos throughout the evening! Please feel free to share them to our Google album by using the QR code signs throughout the event or by posting on social media using the hashtag #iloveyoualyott.

Will there be an open bar?

Of course! Please party and plan accordingly, though. We do not want anyone drinking and driving, so we will have a shuttle scheduled to take guests back to the hotels. If you are not staying at the hotels, we recommend utilizing rideshare apps (ex: Lyft or Uber) for transportation if you plan on drinking!

Note: Cars can be left in the venue parking lot overnight, but must be picked up by 12pm the next day.

What will the weather be like?

Welcome to San Diego, all of you out-of-towners! As expected of Southern California, the late September weather is expected to be in the high 70s during the day and dropping to the low 60s in the evening.

Please also note that our venue is in the northeastern part of San Diego county, in Escondido, where it typically is a bit warmer. Lastly, our wedding ceremony is outdoors and our reception will be held indoors.

Whom should I call with questions?

Please text our maid of honor, Ariana with questions at 650.787.7032.
