Our Story
Joe (who was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia with the Navy) had decided to give his high school friend from Las Vegas, Nevada a call to say hi. Little did he know that Amanda was in the car with his friend. Joe had said something funny to make them both laugh, he immediately noticed the other person and asked who it was. He recognized Amanda from their mutual friends' Instagram and decided to "shoot his shot" and talk to her.
Soon after, Amanda and Joe went from texting to calling, to facetiming every day for at least an hour (sometimes even falling asleep on the phone together). They started a long distance relationship and continued to grow a deeper bond with each other; after three long months they finally met in person.
Later on, Amanda decided to make the jump and to move over 2,500 miles to live with Joe. To this day she says it was the best decision she ever made. Amanda, Joe, and their cat Marx live in Norfolk, Virginia but will be moving in March 2024 to... Well, they don't know quite yet. Nevertheless, they are excited to start this new chapter together as husband and wife.
