Story
Ashley and Justin's story is truly the meaning of, "If it is meant to be, it will happen".
They began their story as friends who met at the local college hangout where they were introduced by mutual friends. Of course, they ended up talking to each other the entire night and found that they not only went to the same college and were both majoring in psychology, but they had also gone to the same high school and had only graduated within a year of each other! They talked about high school memories and similar friends groups, and realized just how close they had always been to one another. They were both surprised that it had taken this long for them to meet for the first time.
Nine months later, Ashley and Justin decided to go on their first official date. Their first official date was to go to a coffee shop and see a movie (their favorite things). If you asked them both, they would tell you that their first date felt like no time had passed since they had first met nine months ago. They instantly had a connection and quickly realized how much they cared for one another.
Some of their favorite dates included going out for pupusas, exploring new hiking trails, and going out dancing. On December 17th, 2019, Justin officially asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. Over the next few years, they shared some amazing memories and moments with each other, including both of them finishing school, getting new jobs, visiting other countries, and making their own home together in San Diego in 2021.
On August 13, 2022, on a family trip to Disney World in Florida, Justin decided to pop the question and ask Ashley to marry him. It was a beautiful and emotional moment shared together and of course she said Yes!
