How did you first meet?
At the induction day for sixth form in a history lesson on Mini Coopers. James wasn't even meant to be in the class as he had originally selected Physical Education over History!! The last minute switch turned out to be a wise move in more ways than one!
What is your favourite meal to eat together?
Steak and chips with a glass of red wine.
Who made the first move? How?
Beth reached out on Facebook and asked if I was the guy in the History class that smiled at her.
What's your favorite activity together?
Drinking red wine whilst watching any football that is on TV / Doing Karaoke
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
Our holiday to Rhodes in 2015. We were straight out of university and on an incredibly tight budget. But, we paid our way through the holiday by James being asked to sing Elvis songs and Beth compering the night in the local karaoke bar (Crocodile Dundee's)!
How did he pop the question?
We were on holiday on the Norfolk Broads. The weather had been glorious all week. However, it took a turn on our 10 year anniversary. We pulled into the beautiful Salhouse Broad. Suddenly, the sun beamed out from the sky. James panicked and tried to speed up the process of giving anniversary presents to each other. Just as Beth was about to open the present which contained the ring, a steamboat with over 100 people on it pulled into the broad (Beth had always said she didn't want a public engagement!). James then suggested that we put some music on, acting as an effective stalling of time, before Beth opened up the present and James got down on one knee.
