Story
The first time we laid eyes on each other was in a small and quaint town at a unique bookstore called "The Next Chapter Bookstore & Bistro." We, of course, had no clue that it would seriously be the next chapter for both of us that day, but it surely was!
Darrius was a gentleman right from the start but I'd say the conversation we had that day was everything. He was very straight and open hearted with me that day and I was quite surprised because I hadn't met someone so thoroughly well spoken with such a unique perspective on life in a while, if ever, that he definitely caught my attention. I could tell he was very passionate & honest with me about what he was sharing that day and I think he was quite amazed by my great listening skills and the fact that I understood where he was coming from that he had to stay in touch with me.
It was in early December so of course we had something hot to drink, but the connection we made that day was even hotter so much so that soon after sitting down we had to get up and take a short walk outside together before parting ways. No, it wasn't quite like that but the heat in the building started rising after we talked for over an hour straight together and rather than calling our meetup to an end we decided to walk and talk a little longer because we really enjoyed the beginning phase of getting to know each other that much.
When we did head our separate ways that day it was so blissful in that we both knew we had just met someone who was both genuine and unique. And so without a doubt we had to see each other again & again & again! XOXO
