The ceremony may be outdoors if weather permits so please dress accordingly. Ladies, we recommend bringing something to stay warm during the ceremony just in case. :)

Getting In
We recommend flying into Dublin International Airport.
Buses will be provided on Saturday, October 14, at 2 PM from The Davenport Hotel to take guests to Virginia Park Lodge.
Buses will also be provided from Virginia Park Lodge to Dublin International Airport on Monday, October 16. Times for bus departures on Monday will be 7 AM, 9 AM, and 11 AM. Please let Ian or Dianna know if you will need the bus transfer and which one you plan to take so we can plan accordingly. You can do so using the below link.
About Virginia Park Lodge
Originally a hunting lodge, Virginia Park Lodge is now a wedding venue and Irish country house destination. The entire estate will be ours for the weekend!
There are accommodations onsite for guests. Breakfast will be included with your booking. Check-in will be Saturday, Oct 14 and checkout will be Monday, Oct 16. Our wedding coordinator has reached out to all guests to book their rooms. If you have not received your email from VPL please let Ian or Dianna know ASAP.
Please note, Virginia Park Lodge is unique in that it is not a hotel, it is an events venue. Therefore accommodations (and food and beverage) are not available for anyone who is not a wedding guest. If you are traveling with other friends/family/children, Dublin is close by or there are other hotels/Airbnbs in Virginia or Cavan where they can stay during the wedding weekend.
We suggest staying a night or two in Dublin before we head to Virginia Park Lodge on Saturday for the wedding weekend!
Buses will be provided from The Davenport Hotel in Dublin city center to Virginia Park Lodge on Saturday.
The bride and groom will be staying in Dublin at The Westbury the week before the wedding and we would love to hit the pubs for a pint with you if you choose to come early!

When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by the first of August.
Can I bring a date or my kids?
Please check your invite and the guests listed on your digital RSVP. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invite.
What if I need to bring a babysitter?
We understand traveling abroad if you have kids is difficult and you may want to bring a family member or friend to babysit. Please note, Virginia Park Lodge is not a hotel, it is only an event space. Therefore accommodations (and food and beverage) are not available for anyone who is not a wedding guest.
If you need to bring a sitter, Dubin is only an hour away from the venue or there are other hotel options close by in the town of Virginia where your sitter and children can stay.
What will the weather be like?
Weather in Ireland in October is likely to be mild but wet. Temperatures are usually between 50-60 °F during the day and a low of 40ish °F at night. The chance of some rain throughout the weekend is high. It is Ireland after all! :)
What should I wear?

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
If the weather permits our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors. Our reception will be indoors.

What time will the reception end?
The reception will end at 11:30 PM and we will move back to the main house at that point for our after-party!
How do I book my room at Virginia Park Lodge?
Our wedding coordinator should have reached out to guests via email to book accommodations. If you have not heard from VPL please reach out to them directly to confirm your booking.
Is there transportation being provided between other hotels and Virginia Park Lodge on the day of the wedding?
If you wish to stay elsewhere during the weekend, transportation will not be provided. There are local taxi companies that can be used if needed.

How do I get from Dublin to Virginia Park Lodge?
Virginia Park Lodge is about 1 hour north of Dublin. Buses will be provided from The Davenport Hotel in Dublin city center to Virginia Park Lodge on Saturday, and from Virginia Park Lodge to Dublin International Airport on Monday morning. If you choose not to take the bus, uber or taxi is the next best option.
What time are the buses?
Buses will leave from The Davenport Hotel at 2 PM on Saturday afternoon.
The buses from Virginia Park Lodge to Dublin Airport on Monday will be staggered, departing at 7 AM, 9 AM, and 11 AM. If you haven't already, please confirm with Dianna or Ian if you will be taking a bus transfer and if so, at which time.

Where should I park?
If you are renting a car and driving, there is parking on-site at Virginia Park Lodge.
What should I do if I can't make it?
You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
