Emily & Sean
Q & A
When is the RSVP deadline?
If possible, please RSVP by April 15th so we can start to finalize plans.
That said, if your plans are still up in the air, just let one of us know and we'll make sure to keep your spot available! We'd love to include you, even last-minute. An advantage of a wedding in Greece is that our planning can be pretty flexible!
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1 or text Em or Sean if you're unsure.
Are kids welcome?
Yes! Please reach out if you have questions regarding the little ones!
What will the weather be like?
It will probably be warm, about 80-85F/26.5C or so in the day and 70-72F/22C ish at night.
Where should I park?
If you'd like to drive to the wedding directly, there is free parking near the entrance of Agreco Farm.
That said, we'd encourage you to take the shuttles we'll provide from Rethymno Old Town to and from the venue. More info on timing and pick-up location for the shuttles will be announced as we get closer to the day, so please check the schedule page for updates!
If the shuttle schedule doesn't work for you either direction, you can take a taxi:
- There is a small taxi rank in Rethymno, so you can get to the wedding without the shuttle if you need/miss the shuttle/hate public transportation
- If you want to leave the wedding earlier than the shuttle departs, the venue or our wedding planner will be able to call a taxi for you when you are ready to leave.
Rethymno is about a 15 minute drive from Agreco Farm (the wedding venue).
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code for all events.
We said cocktail attire for the wedding, but don't feel limited by this. Basically just look nice (something like: jackets/blazers, preferably no jeans/shorts, ties optional), but wear something fun/fashion-y if you want! Em has a soft spot for velvet, silk, earth tones & vintage so extra points for those ;) but really just wear something you are happy in!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony and reception will both be outdoors.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Up to you! There are some cobblestones/ uneven terrain around some parts of the property.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos & videos and share them with us.
However, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony unless you are formally asked to.
Whom should I call with questions?
Feel free to call, text or email Em or Sean with any questions.
If I take the shuttle do I have to stay the whole time?
Our lovely wedding planner, Margreet, will be at the wedding and will happily arrange a taxi for you at any time if you would like to leave earlier than the shuttle departs at the end of the night. Given it might take a little while for the taxi to arrive, it'd be best to check in with her about that a bit before you'd like to go.
Is there a gifts registry?
We know that coming to Crete is an enormous trip for everyone, so please do not feel like you need to give us a gift. We're just so excited to be able to celebrate with you!
If you really really do insist, here are some options:
If you'd like to give to charity in our name, we'd suggest donating to one of the charities recommended by GiveWell (Sean's former employer!) They do incredible work researching high-leverage, impactful donations:
We've also selected some items we'd love to have in our new home in London. Many of the items are "group gifts" so you can contribute any amount you're comfortable with. You can find the registry here:
