Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by June 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount. We strongly encourage you to arrange travel plans now to ensure you do not run into availability issues.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1 (or more)!
Are kids welcome?
Yes! Children are welcome to attend both the wedding and the reception, and have been included in your virtual invitation. Please RSVP on their behalf so that we have the most accurate headcount. Disney contracts with a professional childcare provider (Kids Night Out) and are considering using their services pending at each location, though this will depend on parental interest.
What will the weather be like?
In most years, Orlando averages a daily maximum temperature for January that's between 68 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 24 degrees Celsius). The minimum temperature usually falls between 45 and 54 °F (7 to 12 °C). The temperature rises most days during January to over 60 °F (16 °C) in Orlando.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking at the Disney Wedding Pavilion. If you are staying "on-property" at Disney, you are welcome to take the Disney shuttles to the Grand Floridian and walk over.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding and the reception will be indoors.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress code. While both venues are indoors, there will be walking to different areas and so weather appropriate outwear is encouraged.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, but we would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy throughout the rest of your Orlando adventure!
Will the ceremony and reception be socially distanced?
Yes, at this time, households will be seated together in pods at both the ceremony and the reception. Households will be socially distanced from each other at both locations. We will provide updates as the situation changes.
Are masks required? Will they be provided?
Yes, at this time, masks will be required, but will not be provided. You are welcome to bring your own. Bonus points if it coordinates with your outfit!
Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?
Dedicated wedding transportation to and from the wedding venue and the reception will be provided. However, transportation to the Disney Wedding Pavilion is on up to each family. There is a dedicated parking lot at the Wedding Pavilion, or you can use one of the Disney resort shuttles to come from your resort to the Grand Floridian.
Will there be any activities happening that I need to know about?
Yes! This website is customized to each guest/household, and you will be able to see the schedule of events. As teh wedding approaches and we get a better handle on everyone's travels, we'll add optional activities in and out of the parks for people to enjoy!
Will you be providing park tickets?
We will not be providing park tickets. For the reception Epcot, guests will be transported by charter bus and escorted backstage to get to the Living Seas Salon. We encourage you to work with Sue Johnson to purchase your tickets as her fees will be covered by Disney!
What time will the reception end?
The reception is currently scheduled to last until 3:30, though transportation will be available to take you back to the Wedding Pavilion any time you need to go.
