Frances & Nick

Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
Are there any COVID protocols I should be aware of?
In the interest in ensuring the safety of all of our guests, we kindly ask all attendees to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test and confirm negative test results the morning of the wedding. Home rapid tests can be found at most drugstores.
Thank you!!
Does your wedding have a theme?
Our wedding colors are dark purple, black, and lilac. We sometimes joke that we are going for "dark enchanted forest realness" as our theme, but the colors are the main focus!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.
What should I wear?
We are so excited to see everyone glammed up for our event! Both our ceremony and reception will have formal attire.
Women can wear a floor-length gown, a fancy cocktail dress, or a pantsuit. Frances politely asks that you avoid the color white as much as possible. :)
Men can wear a suit or tuxedo. Please note that the weather in Long Island in December will be cold, so feel free to dress accordingly.
Can I bring a date?
We have a set guest list in order to accommodate for the venue size. We will only be able to host those listed on your invitation. Please look to your invitation for more guidance!
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only affair. Children will not be included in the ceremony or reception. Please reach out if you have questions!
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking across the street from The Loft. Our venue will also have valet the night of the wedding.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception locations are wheelchair accessible. If you think you'll need any additional assistance, please reach out to either Frances or Nick.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We would love if guests took photos at our cocktail hour and reception! Feel free to share them on our wedding website, Joy, or on social media using the hashtag #itsaFRICKingwedding
However, we politely ask that guests refrain from taking pictures during our ceremony, as to give our photographers the best chance at getting that perfect shot.
Will last names be changing after the wedding?
Frances will be changing her last name after the wedding. She will go from Sosa to Sosa-Gavin. :)
Nick's last name will remain Gavin.
