Q & A

Please read through these as many wedding details can be found here.

What should I wear?

Clearly the most important question.

Our dress code is: Elevated maximalism!

Think spectacular, radical self expression: bright colors, artfully clashing patterns (polka dots, florals, plaid), metallics, glitter, sequins, brocade, fringe, fun headwear, architectural garments...whatever will bring you delight.

You know that thing you saw but thought "but where would I ever wear THAT?"? Wear THAT!

You can find a Pinterest inspo board here:

But if this stresses you out, please wear your most joy-inducing cocktail, formal, or semi-formal attire. Wear what makes you happy (really).

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Please see the "travel" page for tons of information and suggestions on the quaint inns and B&Bs in the area. Please book as soon as you are able as options are already filling up quickly. We're happy to give advice if you're having trouble.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes

What will the weather be like?

October in the Catskills is gorgeous and might be gorgeous tank top weather for hiking or may require a mid-weight jacket. We recommend checking the weather close to the event date, and planning on layers. The venue is in the mountains so the evening may get a bit chilly!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, cocktail hour will be outdoors and tented, the reception will be inside a beautifully restored barn.

Where should I park?

There's free parking onsite; we'll also be arranging shuttles from centralized pick-up spots to accommodate as many people as possible who don't want a designated driver - stay tuned!

Is there transportation being provided between reception and hotels?

There will be shuttles from centrally-located places in Jefferson, Stamford and Roxbury, more details to come. Please RSVP that you would like a shuttle. There is also plenty of on-site parking if you would like to drive yourself and have a designated driver in your party.

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Dancing shoes!

Stilettos might be tricky at the ceremony site because it's in grass/uneven ground, but the walk there from the parking lot to the reception site isn't far and if that's really what you feel most expresses your joyous sense of style, then go for it.

Whom should I call with questions?

Jenna or George; we might direct you elsewhere as we get closer to the date :)

Will there be dancing?

get ready.

Who took those incredible photos of you on the beach?

Lorena Dame, our dear friend if not for whom we would have very few good photos of the two of us.

Is there a gifts registry?

Your presence is a gift and we definitely do not expect gifts, nor are they required as a trade for your attendance.

But if gift-giving really brings you joy you can find our registry on the Registry page.

What time should I arrive?

Between 4-4:20pm

What time will the reception end?

10pm, with extended hours for those who like to dance until midnight.

Are masks required? Will they be provided?

At this time they are not required. As always before attending a large indoor gathering, best practice is to take a COVID rapid test the morning of the event, but we won't be checking up on anyone.

We encourage you to do whatever you need in order to feel your healthiest; if circumstances change we will update this answer.

Will food be served?

yes

Will you live stream your ceremony?

no
