Story
It all started with "Hey Heffery" - unexpectedly going down in history as Josie's most successful Bumble greeting of all time.
A few days later, before our first date, Heff (Jeff) texted "Tomorrow is gonna be so great. All I have planned is to enjoy the water, meet up with you, love you, and maybe get dinner and watch the sunset" :)
*Sidenote: Jeff is adamant that he has never before used the word "love" prior to a first date. This was either a typo, fate, or intentional.
As it turned out, his arguably over-the-top text was spot on. We boated around Lake Union and Lake Washington on a scorching July 27th and had a blast swimming, swapping stories, and laughing our assess off. Then we watched the sunset behind the Aurora Bridge (see photo) and ended the evening with fish and chips at Pacific Inn Pub. We wouldn't go so far as to call it love at first sight, but we both knew this particular first date felt just a little bit different...
