Story
The first day I met Matthew; it was 100 degrees in Upland and I was on cart duty. I was bright red sweating head to toe and Matthew was at self checkout. He looked at me and told me “dang you look like you’ve been working harder than the boys”. I instantly tucked my arms in to hopefully cover up my cart pushing BO, I smiled and said thanks while walking backwards trying to create distance.
I knew I liked him because I was so nervous to continue having a conversation. So nervous he’d smell me or see my horrible tomato face (which he totally did my face could have been a stop sign).
Slowly we built the the foundation of our relationship with a friendship.
