Story
It was an especially cold February night in Washington, D.C. Justin was out with his usual friends at Duplex Diner, the standard spot for Thursday nights; Ryan had finished dinner with a group of friends who decided they too wanted to partake in some shenanigans at Duplex. After a couple cocktails, Ryan pulled aside his friend Marvin to ask: "See that guy over there? The blonde one? I've always wanted to say hi to him, should I DM him?" Marvin, being the smart friend he is, urged...no, and demanded that Ryan go introduce himself in person. So that's what Ryan attempted to do.
However, while Ryan was making his way across the crowded Duplex floor, Justin threw on his jacket and headed out the door. It was a school night, after all. At this point, Ryan could have cut his losses and moved on, but thankfully we're living in the age of social media. Ryan quickly opened up Instagram, found Justin, (don't worry, it wasn't creepy; they already followed each other), and sent him a message about just missing him at Duplex. Justin, the sweet person he is, wasted no time in replying, acknowledging that he too had noticed Ryan out-and-about and agreed he would be interested in a date together. They went on their first date the following week and the rest is history!
