How often do middle school crushes end in marriage?

Cesar and Jennifer first met in 2006 at Woodcreek Middle School. As crazy as it may sound, Cesar says he’s had his eye on Jennifer since their middle school orchestra days. While the two spent years attending the same schools, their relationship never developed to be anything more than just classmates.

As high school ended, Jennifer pursued an education at the University of Texas while Cesar began to explore his call to ministry. While they began to navigate their new “adult” lives, the two lost contact…that is, until Jennifer returned home from college.

Upon her return, Jennifer began attending Grace Church, the very church that Cesar just so happened to be apart of. Jennifer caught Cesar’s attention after making a few posts about the church and he invited her to attend a Young Adult small group. While she was initially hesitant to go, Jennifer says she had a great time hanging out with Cesar and the rest of the small group that night. After that, the pair was practically inseparable.

Cesar and Jennifer’s relationship quickly developed and the two began dating in March of 2020. Throughout their time together the couple has experienced a pandemic, explored the magic of Disney World, spent many hours building LEGOS, participated in the Soto family’s Zoom loteria, navigated a long-distance engagement, and eaten many many many rolls of H-E-B sushi along the way.

Cesar proposed on December 12, 2020, after nine months of dating and just before making his way to Alabama to continue his education. Now, nearly two years after the proposal, the couple is so excited to FINALLY enter into a new season of life as husband and wife.

We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you on December 18th!
See you soon :)
