Story

Lindsey's perspective: Chris and I met at a rooftop bar in Dallas, Texas on September 1st, 2019. My friend had a Hinge date with Chris' roommate and we were there (along with a few others) for support. I had eyes for Chris and Chris had eyes for football. His attention was on the game and mine was on how I was going to strike up a conversation with him. Later that evening, the party was brought back to my apartment for a few card games. Chris was quite the gentleman and made sure my furniture was arranged properly before leaving. However, I was unable to muster the courage to ask him for his number. The next day, the girls and I went to Katy Trail Ice House for brunch. During brunch, I happened to look up at the perfect time and notice Chris running shirtless along the trail. "That's the guy from last night!" I shouted. After a brief moment of contemplating whether I'd chase after him or not, I decided to find him on social media. Once I found his Instagram, I sent him a message, asking him out for a date. Our first date was taking Bach to a dog park in Dallas. After a few rounds of attempting to play fetch with Bach, we left for a bite to eat at Eatzi's. We spent hours talking on the patio. I distinctly remember Bach's hair tickle my legs from underneath my seat the entire date. We even remained out on the patio far past closing hours. At around 11pm, we decided to end the date. A few days later, I went to lunch with my mom and grandmother. Within my fortune cookie, the following message was written: "A new relationship will blossom." It seemed too good to be true, but look where we are now! I carried that fortune slip in my phone wallet for the entire first year we dated. I now have the fortune in my jewelry box and will cherish it forever. We were simply meant to be!

How we met…(Chris' perspective)

September 1st 2019

I was at HG Supply in the Lower Greenville neighborhood of Dallas. My friends were there to drink and hit on chicks and I was there to watch the return of college football. Jalen Hurts put up 6 TDs and 500 yards in his Oklahoma debut. My roommate at the time invited a Hinge date and she brought two friends. One of them was Lindsey Marie Oseguera.

Fast forward 12 or 36 hours and I’m running on Katy Trail. Lindsey is at brunch at Ice House and she falls in love with my calves.

She DM's me on Instagram and we eventually hang out several times in the month of September (dog park, 9/11 5k, Texas State Fair)

Tidbits

Who made the first move? How?

Lindsey made the first move by sending Chris the DM on Instagram. However, Chris made the first move to kiss at the end of the first date!

What was your most memorable date?

What's the best meal you have eaten together?

Chris' birthday 3/18/19 during covid. This was the day that just about every restaurant closed down at the beginning of quarantine. Luckily, I found that our favorite Brazilian steakhouse was still open that evening. It was very special to be able to have one last fine dining experience to celebrate Chris before our time in quarantine. -L

Watching Lindsey eat lobster. -C

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Our road trip to multiple National State Parks on the way to visit Carolyn & Nolan in San Diego, CA. We hiked Arches, Zion, Coral Reef and camped out in freezing temps in Moab, Utah.

We’re on the same page about

The importance of family! We both have beautiful families and can't wait to build upon them with a family of our own! -L

Enjoying traveling. -C

A life goal of ours

To remain in good health, travel often and raise a great family together. -L

Have a few kids and get wrinkly together (travel and have children and CK wants to make millions). -C

The most spontaneous thing we’ve done

Many of our experiences are spontaneous. Our most recent was for me to visit Chris while he was working for the Navy reserves in San Diego for the Easter weekend. I bought a ticket one day before the 5-day visit and we had a blast!
Surfing in Hawaii and skiing in New Hampshire were also quite spontaneous. Chris is always full of fun ideas! -L

Go flying with Tito (road-trip or trying to get Lindsey skiing/surfing) -C

The dorkiest thing about us is

We love board games. We also enjoy watching "Alone" and other survival shows. -L

We are regulars at

I am singularly a regular at Salata. This is typically only when I need a healthy bite to eat before cheer events. We really enjoy Hurtados BBQ in Arlington but I wouldn't say we are regulars. I'm surprised Costco doesn't know Chris by name yet!
-L

Nowhere because we’re both amateurly trained chefs.
Lindsey frequents Salata but is learning to be a bigger dork and source her leaves via Costco.
