Story
Madeline and Jack met during orientation week of their Sophomore year at Wake Forest University. Madeline came back early to be a Student Advisor, and Jack, the loyal Deacon fan that he is, just couldn't stay away from the sports or the pre-orientation parties.
After being "just friends" for most of the year, Jack finally persuaded Madeline to let him take her out on a date. After a miscommunication which resulted in Jack's entire immediate family coming for a visit that very night, Madeline ended up not only meeting, but going to dinner with the whole Hickman family. They have been together ever since!
After graduation Madeline and Jack moved to Washington, DC where they grew together over their love of exploring new restaurants, the cherry blossoms, and Nationals baseball games.
Neither long distance (with Madeline working at the United Nations in New York) or the COVID pandemic could keep them apart. In July 2022, Jack proposed to Madeline in her favorite place in the world - Laguna Beach.
Much to Jack's delight they will be getting married just before their 10 year anniversary (with one month to spare).
Madeline and Jack cannot wait to celebrate their special day with their favorite people!
