Our Story
"He knew that when he kissed this girl, and forever wed his unutterable visions to her perishable breath, his mind would never romp again like the mind of God. So he waited, listening for a moment longer to the tuning-fork that had been struck upon a star. Then he kissed her." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Like a modern Great Gatsby, the two spent a significant portion of their lives on different forks separated by the Peconic Bay. Fatefully, Brian stumbled upon Maria's photos in February 2017 on Instagram. Once he realized that she had a taken a photo at a lavender farm that borders his parents' property on the North Fork of Long Island, he felt as though destiny compelled them to meet and he messaged her. Maria agreed to a date and they met at The Refinery Rooftop in Manhattan. They hit it off immediately on a date that lasted several hours, included location changes, and led to a life-altering first kiss. Brian called his sister the following day and said he thought he found "the one".
In March of 2019, Brian proposed to Maria on Grace Bay Beach in Turks & Caicos, where she said yes to spending the rest of their lives together. The two live together in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and spend summers on the South Fork of Long Island in East Hampton which is why their choice of a Montauk venue for the wedding is so dear to their hearts. The couple are avid travelers, partly due to Brian's work as an NFL agent. Their other hobbies include spending time on the beach, trying new restaurants, co-parenting a Welsh Terrier named Beau, watching football and doing pretty much anything outdoors. The couple is most excited about sharing their little slice of heaven, Montauk, with all of their family and friends who will be joining them from near and far on their special day.
