Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite for your +1.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love the little people, we would prefer that you have the day/evening off to relax and celebrate with us, so we kindly ask that you leave them at home.
What will the weather be like?
South Devon can be stunning in the Autumn. It can also, sometimes, be rather drizzly. While we're hopeful for good weather, and are not expecting it to be too cold, we can be fully under cover should our great British weather not perform on the day.
The evening will likely be a little chillier so do bring a jacket.
Where should I park?
Once you arrive on site (you will come through two stone pillars) continue downhill, ignore the deliveries signage (and the left turn) and take the second right, which is the large parking field. Then make your way on foot over to the Ceremony Barn which will be sign posted. If you are in a taxi, staff will show you where to go.
If I want to give you a wedding gift, what's the best way to do that?
Your presence at our wedding is enough of a present for us but if you insist, we would be grateful for a contribution towards our honeymoon which can be made by clicking on the following link:-

What should I wear?
It’s been a long lockdown, if we ever needed the excuse to dress up, this is the time! The groom isn’t wearing tails, come dressed in your wedding semi-formal best. So we're talking suits, ties and dresses.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding can take place fully undercover or outdoors if the weather is kind to us, so don't worry we won't let you get wet!
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
You are totally fine to wear heels ladies and gents! Even if the reception is outside it's a pathway or a stoney floor, weather permitting we will ask for photos on the lawn so just be prepared for that.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Yes! We would love for you to take photos either side of the ceremony, however, please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony.
Will food and drinks be served?
Yes! You will be fed and watered, on us.
In addition, drinks will be available from our Pre-Ceremony cash / card bar for anyone thirsty on arrival. And there will be a Marquee Bar accepting cash and credit/debit cards for evening party drinks (please note, American Express is not accepted).
We've also arranged nibbles to help keep everyone going later in the evening.
Whom should I call with questions?
Please do ring if you have any changes to your attendance or problems/questions we can help solve. Matt's number: +44 (0)7775 70 75 76 or Ellie, more likely to answer on a weekday: +44 (0)7969 672 745
Is there anything happening on the Sunday?
Yes! Hopefully you received our email update but if not. .
For those that might be looking for a bite to eat and possibly a medicinal Bloody Mary or two on the Sunday 3rd after our wedding, we will be settling in to a lovely pub from 12.30, just 15 mins from the wedding venue.
The Church House Inn at Rattery is a lovely old pub with a cracking roast, that is super easy to get to being a five minute drive from the junction of the A38 and A385. If you can join us, whether it be for a quick drink and goodbye, or for lunch, please contact them directly to reserve a table for you or your group (sooner than later as they get booked up).
