Bus

Bus is the easiest and cheapest way to get to Newington Green, the stop is 1 minute from the Meeting House and the Mildmay Club.

Citymapper or Google Maps will tell you the best route to take with live travel updates, but these are the routes:

341 - connects to Angel, Clerkenwell, Holborn and Waterloo (and up north to Tottenham)
476 - connects to Angel and Kings Cross (and up north to Tottenham)
73 - Oxford Circus, Kings Cross and Angel (and up north to Stoke Newington)
141 - the City and London Bridge (and up north to Palmers Green)
236 - Finsbury Park, Highbury and Hackney Wick

Dalston is also about 10 minutes walk away, and has buses towards Liverpool Street and East London

Note

Tube and Overground

The nearest tube station is Highbury and Islington, about 25 minutes walk away. It’s on the Victoria line, serving stations like Kings Cross, Oxford Circus and Victoria. It also has a night tube service.

If you’re feeling lazy, you can change at Highbury to get the overground (works just like the tube) at Canonbury, about 10 minutes away. It also has services to Camden and Hampstead. There’s a late night service at Canonbury as well.

If you’re coming from East London (like Stratford or Hackney) best to get off at Dalston Kingsland, about 15 minutes walk away. There is no late night service at Dalston Kingsland.

If you’re coming from South East London, you can get to Dalston Junction, about 20 minutes walk away. Dalston Junction also has a late night service.

If you’re coming from west London, you can get the overground from Richmond. Otherwise, try the district line or Crossrail to Whitechapel and then the overground to Dalston Junction.

If it’s southwest London, try to get on the Victoria line to Highbury and Islington, from there you can walk or get an overground to Canonbury.

Note

Taxi

Uber* in London isn't so great these days. It's often more reliable and as expensive getting a black cab (you can use the Gett app to get one too).

Otherwise, it is probably just as easy, and way cheaper, to use public transport.

*Other apps are available, and are equally rubbish.

Note

Car

We wouldn’t recommend using a car, the traffic is bad, parking is limited and you’ll have to check on congestion and LEZ charges.

It might be a bit more attractive now with rail strikes and if you want to drive, please let Michael know so parking can be sorted.
