Q & A
For all our friends and family who have lots of questions, please check out our Q & A first!
When is the RSVP deadline?
We appreciate you letting us know if you will be joining us as soon as you can, but our firm deadline for RSVPs is July 15th.
Are kids welcome?
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception Saturday evening. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your kids, so please know they are welcome at the Friday welcome party or Sunday brunch! Please let us know if you need help finding a babysitter - we are happy to provide recommendations!
What will the weather be like?
Atascadero is known for warm sunny days and comfortable nights in the summertime. The average high temperature in August is 88 degrees with a low of 59.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of parking for the ceremony and reception. We will be providing a map of the area soon!
What should I wear?
Friday welcome dinner will be causal dress, while the ceremony and reception on Saturday is cocktail attire (*think something that makes you feel dressed up, but still comfortable and yourself).
If you guys know us, you know that we are pretty casual people. However, getting dressed up every once in a while is fun too! Dress for hot days and bring light jacket for the cool evenings. Most importantly, wear something that makes you comfortable!
*Ladies (or gentlemen, don't want to discriminate) - the ceremony and reception will be outdoors with some uneven ground (think dirt/wood chips/grass) and walking between locations, so keep that in mind when choosing footwear ;)
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
All events will be outdoors!
What time will the reception end?
We don't have an end time! We plan on celebrating late, and hope you will too!
With that said, we also want to make sure we are all making safe choices while celebrating late. We have three different options for everyone to stay safe:
1. Ubers/Lyfts are available in the area, so make sure you have an app downloaded to use on the wedding night. It is a small town though, so late night availability may be hard to predict.
2. Coordinate with a friend who is choosing to be able to drive home safely.
3. Throw a sleeping bag/tarp in your car and sleep out under the stars at the reception site. If you want to sleep in a car, talk to James and Mikenna about where to park. There are bathrooms onsite, but no showers.
What about COVID?
Our guests safety and comfort is very important to us and we will be keeping a close eye on the COVID infection rates in August. Depending on case numbers and variants, we may ask guests to take a COVID test before attending any weekend event.
Can my dog come to the wedding?
We love all of your four legged furry friends so much, but ask that you keep them home during the wedding.
Whom should I call with questions?
James and Mikenna!
