The Proposal
The Chicago Riverwalk will always hold a special place in our hearts - it was the place I first asked Supreet out years ago and it was only right that I propose at the same place -- where it all started.
It's hard for me to keep surprises from Supreet so she most likely saw it coming but she definitely didn't know where or how. We were supposed to meet up for brunch in the city with friends and I had made up an excuse that I had something to do and would meet up with all of them later. Little did she know that I was already in the city with our siblings and cousins getting ready for the proposal.
Our friends brought Supreet into the city later on that afternoon and I'm sure she knew exactly what was about to happen when she saw me pop up with a rose in my hand. As we walked down to the riverwalk, I had a designated area that was decorated with rose petals for the proposal. As we were talking, I told her to turn around where she saw her family holding the "Will You Marry Me?" sign! And as she turned back around; I was on one knee. I asked her to marry me and she said YES!
It was one of the most special days of our lives and now we are approaching another milestone in our relationship - our wedding. It's been a long time coming but I think it's made it that more special. I can't wait to marry you and spend my life with you Supreet!

Tidbits
How did you guys meet?
Supreet was visiting her sister, Simmi, at UIC and Simmi ended up taking Supreet to an event where Parvinder was also going to be.
Parvinder was really happy to see that Simmi brought her sister with and they were finally introduced through Simmi. Afterwards, Parvinder and Supreet talked, danced, and noticed how much they clicked. That day changed everything and the rest is history!
What's your favorite activity together?
We love to go to the movies!
In the summer we enjoy going to Downtown Chicago and visiting the Riverwalk or rooftops!
A life goal of ours
We want to visit travel the world, especially Europe! Life gets super hectic and sometimes even slows down (haha) but we want to make it a goal to visit at least one new place every year!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Anywhere with beautiful beaches! Any suggestions? Please let us know!
