Our Story
It was November 2020. The world had little information about COVID and vaccines were still being developed. Finding love was the last thing you would expect to find, yet both were on the dating apps, looking for each other.
Laura was trying to get back into the dating scene after taking some time to focus on herself. She was at home, socializing virtually with friends, and being a terrible liar while playing the game Among Us.
Rainier was looking for any outlet where he could find love, but with the uncertainty of COVID, it was hard to match with people who had intentions set on finding their significant other. He was traveling around the U.S. to visit national parks and hike some of the most amazing spots found in the natural world.
Rainier: When I came across Laura's dating profile, the first thing I noticed was her affinity for traveling (besides being cute of course).
Laura: Rainier's profile stood out from the start! How can anyone not love that smile. I also thought all his photos were well taken; something a lot of other profiles lacked.
The rest is history. From in-app messages, to phone calls, to FaceTime, and ultimately meeting up in person, we fell in love with every aspect of each other.
