The nearest airports to Siena are in Florence, Pisa and Rome (in that order) and there are good bus and train connections from all three cities.

Depending on where you are coming from, we recommend flying into Florence since that is the closest to the venue and there several train/shuttle options directly to Siena.

Rome will offer the most direct flights from the US. We are exploring shuttle transportation for groups arriving at the airport, more information to come.

If you plan to explore the town or other parts of Italy, we recommend renting a car to give you flexibility throughout your trip.

We have reserved two villas for our family and friends to stay at during our wedding weekend, Villa Catignano and Torre Alle Tolfe. All events will be located at one of the two venues so we recommend staying at the villa. Once you have confirmed you will be attending, we will be reserve your room at the property if you express interest.

Villa room rates: We will be offering a subsidized room rate for guests/couples. This rate will cover food/beverage (breakfast, lunch and dinner) for your entire stay (4 nights for reservations at Villa Catignano / 3 nights for reservations at Torre Alle Tolfe). We will be following up about reserving your room and making payment once we have confirmed definite RSVPs.

Important to note:
One of the things we love most about Tuscany is its rustic charm and simple living. To that note, we wanted our wedding to be a true Tuscany experience that really embodies Italian country living. Along with the stone walkways, gardens, fantasic views, you will find the Italians not worrying about much except expresso, wine, food, and enjoyment.

While the Villas are well equipped with everything you need, it is not an updated 5-star hotel. For example, the staff will not be offering turn down service each morning, there are limited hair dryers on the property, and the bathrooms/bedrooms are more classic than modern. Half of the bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, while the rest of the rooms have fans as it gets very cool in the evenings.

Villa Catignano is a 17th Century Chianti Villa nestled in the heart the wine-making region of Chianti Classico, with a large main villa and several farm houses. The villa is set within 600 acres of flourishing vineyards and olive groves, with Tuscan rolling hills and trees as the back drop. There is multiple gardens, sitting areas, a pool and places to explore on the grounds. We truly fell in love with the venue when we visited and we can't wait to show you the property!

Borgo La Torre alle Tolfe is the second villa we have reserved for guests. We will be assigning guests to the Villa, so stay tuned for more information for us about your Villa assignment. Torre alle Tolfe will be where Saturday lunch and Sunday Pool Party will be taking place. The property is a family run, sustainable Tuscan estate of 100 hectares located a few kms away from Siena. The property is an organic farm comprising a medieval Borgo with 16 rooms in a historic villa and 3 separate apartments, a restaurant with its own vegetable garden, a farm and a winery producing organic wines and olive oil. In addition, around the estate there are 4 ancient farmhouses converted into 40 apartments for short and long stays which make up the Country Residence.
