Story
In Kentucky during Spring of 2003, Yancy was brought to a nightclub to meet a friend of Stacey's but the two of them ended up having sparks fly for one another instead. Both having been through some similarities in life (including having sons close in age, and having experienced the loss of a parent recently), the two had several years of happiness together, but they knew that they had other directions in life they needed to pursue. And so, in 2008, they went separate ways. Stacey & Logan ended up in North Carolina and Yancy & David later moved to Michigan.
And then in 2016, thanks to a mutual love of cats and a suggestion by Facebook, Yancy reached out to Stacey. They rekindled a friendship that continued to bloom into more. His son now grown, Yancy moved to NC to be with Stacey where the two enjoy time near the beach, walks around their neighborhood, geeking out over Salesforce, and frequent pedicures.
