Story
We remember it a little differently, so we agreed to both share our own version.
Taylor's Perspective
In college we were both nutrition majors, which means a lot of science. Sean sat right in front of me and three of my sorority sisters in our 8am organic chemistry class three days a week. I definitely noticed him then and I thought he would be way cuter without his earrings ;)
But we didn't talk until he was also right next to us in lab and none of us knew what we were doing! I actually tried to get my friend who was in the class with us to flirt with him because she was going through a break up, which is so funny to think about now.
We had exchanged number for "homework purposes" and he texted me to ask about an assignment. But of course the conversation didn't stay on organic chemistry. Some how it went far enough that he asked me to go to the movies and the rest is history.
Sean's Perspective
Everything Taylor says up until the texting about an assignment is true. SHE is definitely the one who missed class and asked me about what she missed. I definitely thought she was attractive to the point it became an inside joke with some of my friends and her sorority sisters that I knew from before college. We're pretty sure we watched the Hunger Games at the movies and I haven't worn earrings since.. (that was for the best anyway).
Tidbits
How did you first meet?
See Our Story!
Who made the first move? How?
T: We can't really remember, but probably Sean..
S: I asked her on our first date, first move.. I don't know but it was painfully awkward so I won't leave either of us responsible for that.
Who's going to take out the trash?
T: Sean.. 90% of the time :)
S: If I'm home, me, 100% of the time.
What was your most memorable date?
T: When you've been dating for more than seven years, it's hard to pick just one! But I think if we had to, it would be the day I moved from Michigan to Mississippi to be with Sean after he had moved down for school a few months prior. My mom and I drove for 13 hours with all my belongings and my cat, and when we arrived Sean had a "Welcome Home Taylor" banner, flowers, and wine waiting for me. It definitely felt like home.
S: We've done a lot of cool dates where we've traveled and seen awesome sights but my favorites are honestly when we make the living room into a fort with a bed and watch movies and sleep out there. There's obviously always wine involved. Red, not white.
What's your favorite activity together?
S/T: We love to cook, golf, sit on the beach, talk about nutrition, and catch up on our favorite Netflix shows (don't we all?!).
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
We haven't decided yet, but probably a beach!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
S/T: This is a tough one since we're both foodies (and dietitians)! We love cooking together at home, or going out to some of our favorite local spots, but we especially love cookies.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
T: We went on a cruise to the Bahamas after Sean's college graduation and it was incredible!
S: I loved our trip to Chattanooga. We went hiking, and saw a waterfall inside of a mountain. It was beautiful.
We’re on the same page about
T: What's important to us. And that's spending time with the people we love most. (You all!)
S: We're pretty open about everything that's going on in our lives and what's bothering each other so there's not much that we aren't on the same page about.
