42 North Brewery- One of our favorite breweries in Buffalo. 42 North is grounded in the roots of our region. Located on the 42nd parallel, it’s where wars were fought, fortunes lost – and found – and where legacies are made. And when it comes to beer, the 42nd parallel is unparalleled as well. Some of the world’s best hops grow along it, and in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s, it’s where New York State hops grew bountiful and full-bodied. This tradition – and the legacy of arguably the most important parallel on earth – have found a new home, and a new future, here: at 42 North.

Elm Street Bakery- Great spot for baked goods & local grown ingredient meals. A locally-owned whole foods bakery/café specializing in brick oven artisan breads, scratch pastries and desserts, in-house roasted coffee, as well as local, seasonal soups, salads & sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas.

Bar-Bill- We believe they have the best wings in Buffalo. Also, great spot to try local food specific to Buffalo. The tavern has been an institution in East Aurora, NY since the day it opened its doors. The old building at 185 Main Street has stood for over 150 years. Originally opened by Barb and Bill (hence the name) Korzelius, the tavern replaced a small Ice Cream shop on the west end of Main St. The bar featured Beef on Weck as it's only food option, as well as a limited drink list. 50+ years later The Bar-Bill Tavern is proud to serve the best chicken wings and beef on weck in WNY!! Everything from the housemade sauces & bleu cheese, the hand carved beef station, the mug club wall, and the all season patio makes Bar-Bill an institution like no other.

Aurora Brew Works- Great place to grab a beer & walk around East Aurora. FYI: There is no open container law in the town of East Aurora. Aurora Brew Works is part beer store and part bar, you will find a large selection of craft beers that are available for purchase as 6 packs and single bottles. For just an extra $1 you can pay a corking fee and enjoy the beer right there at the store.

Knox Farm State Park The former country estate of Buffalo's renowned Knox Family. It is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, birthplace of the Roycroft Arts & Crafts movement and former home of Millard Fillmore. The park's 633 acres are comprised of a variety of habitats, including 400 acres of grasslands (pastures and hayfields), and 100 acres of woodlands, ponds and several wetland areas.

Vidler's 5 & 10 Perhaps the largest 5 & 10 in the world, Vidler’s is much more than a store – they’re shopping entertainment at its best! Relax and enjoy a trip back in time as you stroll through their amazing five and dime! Owned and operated by the Vidler family since opening in 1930, the third generation now manages the store on a daily basis. It’s hard to describe, but impossible to forget with over 75,000 different items spread out over 2 floors in four connected buildings. You can spend hours wandering through the store and seeing the counters and shelves overflowing with the practical, unique, whimsical and sometimes, stuff you (and we) have never even seen before!

Katy's Cafe Katy's has a full service coffee bar serving everything from a regular cup to all of your espresso drink needs. Griffis Sculpture Park

When checking out paintings and drawings gets old, it’s fun to observe other forms of art, such as sculptures. In this case, see what Griffis Sculpture Park has to offer the next time you’re in town. This spot hosts a variety of sculptures of people, animals and objects that make for great photo ops.

The park is located in fields next to the hills that add to the scenery of your photos, and the Essex Art Center provides classes and exhibits for those who want to learn how these works of art are created. There’s also the opportunity to learn about their creators and their inspirations.

Holiday Valley- Sky High Adventure Course Anyone who enjoys doing something active in the outdoors and is starting to get tired of going on hikes or kayaking in the lakes should see how Sky High Adventure Park can provide a memorable afternoon. The setting provides the feel of a real jungle gym that challenges you both physically and mentally as you try to get through different obstacles. Visitors have the options of walking along platforms that are connected by bridges and ziplines, climbing up climbing walls of a variety of difficulty, and trying out the Mountain Coaster that lets you control how fast you fly down the mountain.

The Legacy Restaurants The first floor bar now offers craft beer on tap along with a great selection of domestic and imported beer, varietal wines and a fun selection of specialty cocktails. There are multiple televisions for watching your favorite sports while enjoying some great food with a cold brew. You will also find a classic jukebox (circa 1970) with a great mix of tunes for less than 30 cents each! Our “Pub-like” menu is loaded with a wide variety of Legacy tasters, unique sandwiches, burgers and more! On the upper level, you will find the atmosphere a little different with linen tablecloths and napkins, dinner music and a cozy cocktail bar for your enjoyment. You can find delicious dinner options from steak to pasta, featuring Mama Martinelli’s special sauce and meatball recipe (passed down from the owner’s family)! But, that’s not all…our exceptionally talented Executive Chef Lukas loves to create a “feature of the day” that is sure to make your mouth water.

Art's Cafe A collapsed building, rescued by a group of passionate citizens—this is the home of Art’s Café. Three floors, steeped in history, feature an artisan bakery and café, with a connected arts workshop, performance venue, fully accessible green roof, and artist residences. Art’s Café is about good, simple food – fresh produce grown by farmers we know and bread baked in the simplest of ways with the best possible ingredients.
