Story
Once upon a recent time I read this quote and its so true for me:
"Every Love Story is Beautiful, but Ours is my Favorite!"
My mother's side of the family name is 'Contractor' and the Contractor family is divided into a very fun but large and complicated family tree - that however, is a story for another time.
Even though Ali is from the Contractor family he didn't really know me and had only heard of me vaguely. I, didn't know Ali either but had seen his photo on Facebook once, glancing over him and thinking he's really cute but he' s probably from the extended family and so didn't get in touch. Quickly, we faded into the ‘missed connections’ category for each other.
A few months later, out of the blue, he sent me a message on Facebook. I was so surprised. His message said, "I've heard you work in the events industry and being from the same field, was wondering if you could help me look for a job in Dubai?" We haven't stopped talking since then. We literally hit it off from that moment as if the entire universe had been conspiring to bring us together all this while!
The first time we saw each other in person was a few days later - Ali was smiling wide across the room, wishing me 'Happy Birthday!' with a wave from the distance, in a room full of people at someone else's wedding! That moment that we connected for the first time was only the initial spark of a friendship, that blossomed into love within no time!
We fell in love, despite our differences and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. Every minute we spend together is something we treasure, and will cherish for the rest of our lives. Insha'Allah.
With the Wedding coming up we can only try and grow this Love, and maintain this awesome Friendship. We are also very happy to have you join our Special Day and would appreciate you keeping us in your prayers and blessing us for our married life ahead.
