Joy takes most of that off your plate. When guests visit your Where to Stay page, Joy is already working in the background to make sure they're seeing the best available rates, without you having to lift a finger.
How it works
When guests visit your Where to Stay page, Joy checks for Closed User Group (CUG) rates: private discounts not available to the general public. It compares those rates to other available rates, including any room block you've arranged. If Joy finds a better price, it offers that rate as an option to guests. These rates are used by millions of travelers globally.
What you can control
By default, Joy enables both rate comparisons and CUG discount checks. Most hosts leave both on. It gives guests the most options and the best prices.
If you need tighter control, two settings are available under Event Settings > Where to Stay > Advanced Hotel Settings:

When on, Joy shows guests CUG rates where available. Most hosts leave this on so guests can access the best deals.
Help guests compare and find the lowest rate before booking
When on, Joy shows guests multiple rate options so they can choose what works best. Joy always respects your arranged room blocks and never overrides them.
What most hosts do
The vast majority of hosts leave both settings on. Guests appreciate having access to the best available price, and you don't have to worry that they're missing out on a better deal elsewhere.
