How Can I Cancel An Order On Joy, And What Is The Process?

Canceling an order on Joy is subject to specific policies and timelines, largely depending on the order status. This guide explains key steps, prerequisites, timelines, and refund policies to assist you in managing cancellations effectively.

Prerequisites for Canceling an Order

  1. Order Number or Shipped Items: Once an Order Number is generated, a cancellation may be requested, provided the gift has not shipped. Once a gift is shipped, we can no longer cancel the order. You're then able to return the item to Joy.

  2. Check Order Status: Orders currently without an Order Number generated or marked as "Ready to Ship" in the admin Track page can be cancelled immediately.

Steps for Cancelling an Order

  1. Identify Eligibility: Cancellations are easiest to process within 2 Business Days of purchase. Orders older than this may already be in processing or shipping stages, restricting cancellation options.

  2. Submit a Cancellation Request: Contact Joy’s support team. Please provide the team with the Item Name and Order Number (if applicable). You may also let us know whether you'd prefer a refund to the purchaser or Joy Store Credit.

  3. Provide Accurate Information: Ensure the correct order number and any other relevant details (e.g., email or reason for cancellation) are included to prevent delays.

Cancellation Timelines and Confirmation

  • Expect cancellations to take 1-2 business days to process once initiated.

  • Communication will be provided at various stages to keep you informed.

Receiving Refunds After Cancellation

  1. Joy Store Credit: A store credit will be issued in lieu of a refund, unless otherwise stated.

  2. Refund to the Purchaser: Refunds are issued upon request. Refund to the original payment method typically within 5-10 business days after the cancellation is confirmed.

Special Cases and Exceptions

  • For orders already processed: Joy will attempt to coordinate with the vendor, but cancellation is not guaranteed. Post-delivery, returns can still be processed (where allowed) for refunds or credits.
