Not everyone wants to recommend a specific hotel. If you prefer to recommend areas for your guests to stay in, instead of recommend specific hotels, you can do that. Joy's Neighborhoods feature lets you point them in the right direction without locking anyone into a single option. You highlight the areas closest to your venue, add a note about what makes each one worth considering, and guests can search hotels and rentals right from your page.
Joy suggests a few neighborhoods to start based on your venue location. You can edit them, add more, or remove any that don't fit.
From your Event Dashboard, hover over Website, click the arrow, and select Where to Stay. Then click the Neighborhoods tab.
Add or edit a neighborhood
Joy pre-populates your Neighborhoods tab with curated suggestions near your venue. Click any card to edit it, or click Add to start a new one from scratch. The fields are the same either way:
Update or enter the Name.
Select a Best for category from the dropdown (such as couples or families).
Edit the Why It's Your Pick field to describe what makes this area a good choice for guests. This text appears directly on your Where to Stay page.
Update the Thumbnail by clicking the arrows to select a different photo, or upload your own.
Click Save.
Remove a neighborhood
Click the trash icon next to the neighborhood you want to remove.
What guests see
On your Where to Stay page, each neighborhood appears with a photo, a "Best for" badge, your note, and two buttons: Search rentals on Vrbo and Search hotels. Joy recommends adding 3 to 5 neighborhoods to give guests a useful range of options.
If you'd rather point guests toward neighborhoods than recommend specific hotels, you can use the Suggest button on the Hotels tab and select "I'd rather just suggest neighborhoods." Joy will skip specific hotel listings and focus on the neighborhood recommendations instead.
