Figuring out where 80 people are going to sleep is a lot. Your Where to Stay page handles it. You add the hotels you love, many of them with exclusive discounted rates available only to your guests through Joy, share a note about why you picked them, and give guests everything they need to book in one place.
From your Event Dashboard, hover over Website, click the arrow, and select Where to Stay.
Add a Note to Guests
The Note to Guests field at the top of the Hotels tab appears at the top of your Where to Stay page. Use it to set context for your guests: a heads-up about booking deadlines, a note about which hotels have the best views, or a reminder that rooms fill up fast on weekends.
Click inside the Note to Guests field and type your message.
Choose a layout
The layout controls how your hotels appear on the guest-facing page. Click the Select Layout dropdown on the Hotels tab to see your options. Select any layout to preview it in the panel on the right.
Add hotels
Click Add to open the Add Place to Stay menu. You'll see four options.
Browse Hotels on Map
Use this to find and add hotels near your venue with Joy's exclusive discounted rates.
Click Add, then select Browse Hotels on Map.
Browse hotels on the map or filter by price, brand, rating, amenities, or reservation policy.
Click on a hotel to view photos, amenities, location, and room pricing.
Click + Add Hotel to add it to your page.
A panel opens on the right where you can customize how this hotel appears on your page:
Thumbnail: select the photo that appears on your page
Why It's Your Pick: write a personal note about why you're recommending this hotel. Click Suggest to have Joy draft one for you.
Featured: toggle on to pin this hotel to the top of your list with a "Guest Favorite" callout
We're Staying Here: toggle on to let guests know this is where you'll be staying
Hotel Room Block: toggle on if you have a room block at this hotel
Click Save.
Get Room Block
Joy's free Hotel Concierge Service can negotiate a group room block on your behalf. For a full walkthrough, see Get a Hotel Room Block Through Joy.
Add Room Block
Use this if you've already arranged a group rate directly with a hotel and want to add it to your page.
Click Add, then select Add Room Block.
Enter the Location and Name of the hotel.
Add a Note for Guests about the block.
Select the Type from the dropdown.
Under Room Block Details, enter your Booking Link. If you don't have one yet, check We do not have a room block link.
Set the Check-In and Check-Out dates.
Enter a Book By Date if your block has a deadline.
Enter the number of Rooms Reserved and the Group Price / Night.
Upload a Photo if you have one.
Toggle on We're Staying Here or Featured if applicable.
Click Save.
Add Rental Home, Campsite or More
Use this to add a vacation rental, campsite, or any other custom stay to your page.
Click Add, then select Add Rental Home, Campsite or More.
Enter the Location and Name.
Add a Note for Guests.
Upload a Photo if you have one.
Under Booking Link, select Use Joy Travel to link through Joy's booking system, or check Use My Own Link and enter your URL.
Select the Type from the dropdown.
Toggle on We're Staying Here or Featured if applicable.
Click Save.
Tip: Use the Suggest button or the sparkle icon next to the Hotels header to have Joy automatically suggest hotels near your venue. You can tell Joy whether you want a mix of budgets, mostly affordable options, mostly upscale, or whatever is closest to your venue.
Edit or remove a hotel
To edit a hotel, click on its card in the Hotels tab. The edit panel will open on the right. Make your changes and click Save.
To remove a hotel, click the trash icon on the hotel card.
Reorder hotels
Click the six-dot icon next to the Hotels header to enter reorder mode.
Drag hotels into your preferred order.
Click Save when you're done.
Note: Hotels with the Featured and/or We're staying here toggles on will always appear at the top of the list regardless of order.
What guests see
Guests land on your Where to Stay page and see your Note to Guests, followed by your hotel recommendations in the layout you've chosen. Each hotel shows a photo, your personal note, distance from the venue, and a booking button. Joy Hotels show live pricing and a Book Now button. Hotels added with a custom booking link show a See Availability button instead.
